Very clean and well maintained , and the garden is well kept . The hot tub was a welcoming bonus and we all enjoyed spending some time in it , my husband loved it !!! There was a lovely welcome tray on arrival and fresh milk in the fridge . Wern Newydd Farm in Wales is beautiful and really peaceful , and close for exploring other places , New Quay less than half an hour away , Aberystwyth an hour and other lovely places in-between , we went out to somewhere different every day , had some scrummy fish and chips in New Quay at The Lime Crab ,highly recommend ! . The owners of Wern Newydd Farm Terry and Louise are a really lovely couple , very welcoming and friendly , and have lots of knowledge of the area and ideas of places to go if needed . We did a lovely national trust visit while we were there , being members of national trust . I would definitely go back and recommend a holiday there 100 % . Thankyou Terry and Louise for a wonderful holiday ,we all throughly enjoyed ourselves . Xx

  • "Just come back from a weeks stay at Brook Lodge, we had the most beautiful weather which made our stay even more beautiful."

The lodge itself was exceptionally clean especially for a dog friendly property, The bed in the main bedroom is huge and super comfy the only problem we found was due to the size of the bed there was little room to store clothes there is however a hanging rail in the cupboard so could easily be rectified by either bringing your own hangers of there being more at the property. The kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked a few times but also had a couple of take aways and a meal out at The Bunch Of Grapes which was a short 10 minute drive - We would recommend a visit, they are very friendly and the food was perfect. We were welcomed by a lovely welcome pack including bits for our dog which was a lovely touch. You can tell that Louise and Terry welcome feedback because things raised in previous feedback have been improved for example there is now a bell they ring prior to coming in to check the hot tub. We felt very respected by Louise and Terry, we were left to enjoy our holiday without interruption however on the occasions we did bump into them we had chit chat which was nice too, I felt they were great hosts for sure. Finally the garden/grounds are also very well kept, the garden is very safe for dogs, we loved the boarder of wild flowers around the edge of the garden too. On route in and out of the property we enjoyed seeing the birds, sheep, chickens, rabbits and squirrels too. It really was a beautiful lodge in a great location on lovely grounds owned by the nicest of hosts.

Louise and Terry are a lovely couple and always ask if everything is ok for you. We find that it's an ideal location for easy access to the nearby west coast beaches. Look forward to staying here again.

  • "A lovely comfortable lodge."

The hot tub was clean and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog although please note, when the owners check the hot tub, they do just walk in without warning, even if coming outside of the specified 10.30 - 11.00 times. A suggestion would be for there to be a bell on a gate that is rung, giving a warning and enabling time to get the dog secured and get some clothes on! Other than that, the bed was really comfortable and the place was spotless. The local pub, the daffodil, served really good food and it is close enough to visit the coast.

It's nicely located, not too far away from south or north coast ( the beaches there are superb) Overall great stay and we were sad to leave. Will definitely recommend

The garden is big and fully enclosed and our two dogs enjoyed exploring and running around - they too were welcomed with treats! The lodge was spotlessly clean when we arrived and there is plenty of space for a family. We really enjoyed our stay - I wish we could have stayed longer! The garden is such a secluded and peaceful place with the birdsong providing the soundtrack, we decided more than once just to spend the day relaxing there. We loved the hot tub, which got used daily, it's the best we have had at a holiday let, it really helped after a long day in the car. The bed too is worthy of note. Very big and very comfortable. Louise and Terry are great hosts, we got a very warm and friendly welcome with lots of advice on places to visit and where to eat (and get the best ice cream), We didn't see much of them as they obviously respect their guest privacy and only come over to tend the hot tub once a day. We only stayed 1 week, and if we could have done would have happily stayed another, and I hope we get to stay again sometime soon.

The cabin is very spacious inside and has a huge secure garden surrounding it, and a lovely large hot tub right outside the door, also the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. There is a well stocked nearby shop and a pub that serves food, and New Quay is about a twenty minute drive away. • "We had a very restful holiday in this lovely little lodge."

Both my husband and I had worked through lockdown and were desperate for some peace and quiet and this was definitely the place to go. We were also very lucky with the weather, despite the forecasts, which was a bonus. The lodge was neat and clean and had everything we needed as well as a welcome package, we actually don't think the photos did it justice! The bathrobes in the main bedroom were also a nice touch. We took 2 teenagers and were worried that they would get bored but the wi-fi signal was good and the hot tub well used every day. Our 2 little dogs absolutely loved the garden/field and the fact they could roam around freely. It was fully enclosed unlike other places we've visited that say they're enclosed but actually aren't. The little shop at the top of the lane provided what little bits we needed. We didn't get to try the local pub as when we were thinking of going it was closed for a couple of days - preparing for September opening and distancing. The owners to Brook Lodge were very helpful, checked the hot tub every day and told us of a few nearby walks and local places to visit (I think they were worried that we didn't go out much!) We did visit several of the coastal towns but tended to stick to quieter times of the day, as when the weather was really nice they did get very busy. If we ever needed a place to relax and unwind we would definitely consider booking this place again.

The lodge itself is lovely and cosy, has everything you possibly need, the bed was very comfortable with a TV attached but I never used it..or the main TV.. the kitchen had all you needed. The hot tub was really big. There are lots of walks from the lodge for those days you dont want to drive. Perfect spot for exploring this end of Wales. We went from st David's to strumble head then all up to new quay. Was a very relaxing holiday, I would definitely go back to brooke lodge as we didnt get to see all the places.
