  • "Wow fantastic view the balcony was the wow factor the master bedroom had a fabulous Comfortable bed, we only used that bedroom so can’t comment on the other beds/rooms."

Kitchen had all we needed. Wasn’t an issue only having a shower room downstairs and a bonus having a loo upstairs. The sofas had seen better days were not comfortable at all especially the three seater. There are some tired looking areas which needed a freshen up and things that needed attention. Hanging empty fire blanket holder, torch which didn’t work, wardrobes full of clutter didn’t feel like you would want to use them - we didn’t. The main let down was the entrance very dirty, recycling inside which smelled awful, last people’s recycling still in there, windows not clean. Back garden - great area having bought our dog but the last guests had left filled poo bags out there - to add we cleaned up after ours and removed ours. Was a lovely few days away, we visited most places along the coast, we more than happy to just sit on the balcony breathing in the sea air.

Hi, We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We love the view also! I am sorry about the recycling bins and dog poo bags in the garden- this is something we will be addressing. Thanks! Property Owner

Some real good points and some negatives. +ive; location v good, beachfront. Balcony great. Plenty of room (4 bedrooms). Comfy sitting room with 2 large sofas. Parking good. Shower downstairs good -ive; Needs a parasol with stand for balcony on hot days. No shower upstairs, just a small bath. This is inconvenient, for upstairs dwelling. Seem to recall a shower being there when we last visited but bathroom has been updated. Needs a shower! One attached to taps would make a big difference Smell in foyer where re cycling bins are. Something had leaked a time ago and not been cleaned. Couldn't find a mop, as we would have cleaned this. Rooms were very warm at night, needs access to fans. We could see a fan locked up in cupboard. All in all we had a good time in Wales and would rate the property 3-4 out of 5 because of the afore mentioned shortcomings. 3.5*

Carpets are replaced which needed doing and improved the house. Box of chocolates on arrival, nice touch. King size bed very comfy. A washing machine is needed at the property as well as another shower as only one on the bottom floor.

  • "Overall a nice place but a few niggles."

Sofas were saggy and not very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable (badly stained mattress on downstairs double). Pillows could do with replacing, thin and tired. Cutlery also, some items badly tarnished. Not much cupboard space for food. Never understand using cream carpet for holiday homes, very grubby in places. TV in downstairs twin room didn't work and there wasn't a third TV as stated. Property info needs updating as not a good idea leaving rubbish bags in porch as it gets smelly. Extra toilet rolls, bin bags and hand-wash would be appreciated. Managing the heating was erratic, not able to see when it came on and off and adjusting the temperature was guesswork. A second set of keys would be useful. Sitting on the balcony was wonderful, you can hear the waves and the glass front keeps the wind down.

The garden furniture had not been cleaned I was contacted twice by the owner:- 1 To accommodate a gas inspection 2 To measure the toilet on the downstairs toilet as he was anxious to mend after our stay. Not before? I am a disabled woman and had to use the broken toilet seat and I saw that it was mentioned in the ideas book at the property last year. Luckily the gas man never attended however we were told to expect him between 8 and 9 on the Tuesday

  • "It was a lovely property but a bit tired and in need of some tlac The toilet seat was broken in the shower room, the carpet was frayed by the doors to the balcony and could be a trip hazard."

There was no dvd player and although there were 3 televisions none them connected to the internet. There was no plug for the bath so that could not be used. The garden needed tidying up. However it was a lovely property with plenty of room, the bed was very comfortable and so were the sofas, the view from the windows was stunning and it was a pleasure to sit on the balcony. The kitchen was well kitted out with everything that you could need to make a great holiday. It was in a great location and with these few issues addressed it could be a fabulous property. We did enjoy our stay and have already recommended it to our friends.

Thanks for your feedback- we are currently looking at some renovations, so will take your helpful points onboard. A few things though- the toilet seat seemed to be a bit of a recurring problem, which has now been fixed (on Mon 1st April), and the TV in the sitting room is indeed a SMART TV which is connected to the WiFi, which can access Amazon Prime/ Netflix/ Now/ etc- you will require your own logins to these streaming platforms however! • "Such a fantastic stay at 11 Min Y Mor!"

The property is superbly situated in a quiet area of Pwllheli right over the road to the beach, which conveniently allows dogs from the end of September (our dog had a blast running up and down the sand dunes and padding in the sea). The two bedrooms on the ground floor are very comfortable, and the bathroom in between has a fantastic shower. The lounge is so comfortable, and we even used the garden furniture and sat on the balcony when local family visited. The open kitchen has everything that we needed, although we ate out most of the time (Wetherspoons near the railway station and Whitehall Pub, in Pwllheli and Dylan's in Criccieth). The main top bedroom has a superb view with a large adjacent bathroom (no shower) and the large bed was very comfortable, and a large wardrobe, which was great. The property is so well situated to visit all the wonderful places in the area: Aberdaron, Abersoch, Llanbedrog, Nefyn, Cricceth, Porthmadog Ffestiniog Railway etc. All in all, a fantastic stay and would 100% book again!

You feel the stress leave you as you walk into the living room and see that sea view. The house sits on the promenade which is so quiet, so much so, when you sit on the veranda you can hear the waves lapping onto the beach. We've never been to Wales before, but we will go again and Min Y Mon is top of the list for next year. Pwllheli is so lovely and friendly. It was our first holiday in a number of years, and it did not let us down. There is a lovely market on every Wednesday, lot of homemade jams and honey, cheeses and clothes stalls, which are not overpriced. Thank you Sykes Holiday Cottage, you made the whole process very easy with clear and accurate communication.

The location is brilliant with an amazing view, the beach is just across the road and the layout of the house was perfect for us. There is a little shop/post office around the corner, and the town is a short flat walk away. Only things that would have made it even better would be a shower upstairs over the bath to help when you have a full house (we had 6 people that spanned 4 generations) and some way to dry wet clothes. We had an amazing stay, and really enjoyed it. Thank you so much, we're already looking forward to our next stay!

It has lovely views of the water and scenery from the balcony being across the road from the beach. It was nice sitting out there in the evening watching the sunset. It is walking distance into the town at Pwllheli so ideal. The double beds are big and very comfortable so we slept very well during our stay. The property could do with some TLC in places which was mainly the patio doors being very hard to open and close because the runners were rusty but overall it was a lovely property to spend our holiday. Would recommend.

The rest of the property felt dated in appearance. Balcony was great, garden was less holiday maker friendly. Despite staying during half term week, the property was available at short notice (we had been let down by another cottage company) and the beach was so quiet as was the road outside.

Really enjoyed the view from the balcony, both from inside and while sat outside in the comfy chairs, relaxing in the sun. Even in the rain (we had one and a half bad days which wasn't bad for last week in September) it was nice sitting inside in the warmth and watching the rain and the sea rolling onto the shore. Only one niggle, the top large bedroom window doesn't fit properly and can let in a cold draught when it's windy.

This property surpassed our expectations. The view from the living room/balcony is nothing short of spectacular and we will miss it greatly. The property had everything you needed (including stair gates if you had little ones). The area is slightly out of the way but this was a real benefit as the road in front is very quiet as was the beach. Keep in mind - we went at the beginning of August when the weather was beautiful so can't imagine it being any busier. Thoroughly recommend this property and I am sure you would love it too.

Walking distance into town. Choice of eateries in the area some of which do delivery during the covid period. No need to move the car. Would suit someone who arrives on the train as the station is only a 10 minute walk with taxis available for larger luggage. It was wonderful to wake up and fall asleep to the sound of the waves - Bliss !!!! The house was warm, cosy and comfortable. We were able to relax. We were advised to bring certain items but some of these were in fact available such as tea towels, cleaning items and even foil, cling film and lunch bags. ( not sure if these were owner provided or left by previous persons) Certainly got our daily steps in going up and down the stairs ! (Would not suit mobility challenged persons) The bed was sooooooooo very comfortable - hadn't expected the super king on the top floor - we are only small so the bed seemed massive. Heating and water were easy to use and very quick on the odd evening we felt the autumn chill. Would go back - certainly.

  • "Lots of good things to say, but, firstly, there's an error in your description."

.... "A sitting room with a double bed-settee is ideal for children and has access to the rear patio and garden so they can wander outside for some fresh air in the afternoon."...… this room does not exist ! The room with access to the back garden is the rear double bedroom. Also, there is a large dining table and six chairs at the rear of the living room - behind which there is a large open hatch into the kitchen. Good points: Excellent position on sea front. House is clean and very comfy. The bedding and towels are nice quality. The beds are very comfy. There are a couple of cosy throws on the settees for cooler evenings. The kitchen is well equipped - We were pleased to find a Cafetiere there (for fresh coffee lovers). Plenty of books to read. Good wifi connection. Very quiet - day and night ( though we were lucky enough to have empty houses on either side for our week). Lidl supermarket is within walking distance( 3mins in car) - I can recommend their freshly baked croissants ! And Allports Fish and Chippy in town make the best F&C we've had in years ! All in all we'll be more than happy to return next year..... taking with us a parasol for the balcony as we couldn't find one. At times it was too hot to sit out there with no shade. Complaints: 1. We found the Key Secure Box very difficult to open. It was so fiddly I found it impossible but ,luckily, my husband was able to do it ……. eventually. 2. The extractor fan in the shower room was not working properly so we had to leave the door ajar to allow steam to escape. Ok with just the two of us there, but could be unsuitable for groups of friends. 3. Some of the curtain tracks were 'stuck' so we didn't close landing or living room curtains.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your feedback and have amended the description details. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Kind regards Property Owner

[pity we had not considered staying for longer at the time we booked our holiday!] The view, particularly from the top floor master bedroom was fabulous, and the changing manner of the sea and its waves along the shore were fascinating.. Everything worked fine except for two of the three bulbs in the downstairs loo/shower room - plenty of spare bulbs for every-where else in the house, but none of the tiny 20 watt double loop contact filament bulbs needed there! Electrical stores in Pwllheli are far from conspicuous, though the hardware store - a hop and a jump from the main square - turned up trumps and solved the problem. Amongst the choice of shiny saucepans we found one rather decrepit pan which served well to weight down the kitchen rubbish bin lid which continues to have a broken catch ------ other wise we found absolutely nothing to spoil a very nicely equipped holiday cottage! We would have liked a clothes washing machine - two of our family were competing in the National Champion Sailor of our class of racing Dinghy - so we had to find rinsing and drying facilities elsewhere but we were aware of the situation when we booked the accommodation, so no complaint. To be punctilious, the window handles could do with some lubrication and the opened frames given a clean, whilst the outer front door frame really needs to be polished clean so as not to be the poor relation when compared with the others along the block...

We didn't need a dishwasher - we could wash the dishes easily enough - a washing machine would have been more useful. We didn't think of bringing dishcloths so couldn't wipe the kitchen surfaces until we'd gone shopping the next day. My daughter had forgotten her hairdryer and we couldn't see one in the cottage so she bought another one, but then on the last day we found one hiding in one of the chest of drawers. I therefore put it on a shelf in the wardrobe so that it could be seen more easily. All in all a really good place to stay, and the view from the balcony was lovely, and it was great to be able to sit out on the balcony to eat for the first half of the week before the weather turned cooler. We would definitely consider returning to this property another year.
