  • "Quiet, unusual location."

Cottage was very clean, bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom had obviously been redone recently. A grab handle for the shower would help. A waste bin in the bedroom would also be useful. Main areas of concern were the poor lighting, basic kitchen appliances (no microwave but there is no room to site one) and difficult parking when all 3 bays are in use. Having read previous reviews, we brought the necessary cables to be able to use the TV.

  • "We had a lovely short-break at the cottage and enjoyed the peace and tranquillity it afforded."

We were able to walk to the NWT Hickling Broad reserve (1.5miles following Hill Common and public footpath) which was a bonus and saw a swallowtail butterfly there.

  • "The cottage was excellent and we enjoyed our stay."

The location is excellent. The comfort was excellent. The bathroom was excellent. It's on a 2~3 acre campus which also features other lodges, shepherd's huts and other small buildings. Parents of young children would need to be aware of the large (very scenic) pond. The only issue really is that there is a TV but not aerial. We solved this by bringing a laptop pc and an hdmi cable so we could watch I-player and other streaming services.

  • "We had a lovely and relaxing time."

The cottage is furnished beautifully and had everything we needed. The garden and outdoor space are inviting and we were made very welcome. The location is quiete but perfect for exploring Hickling Broads and surroundings.
