  • "Great little property, Nestled far enough away from any potential noise but close enough to all the amenities that Hunstanton or heacham have to offer."

It was fantastic having a fully enclosed garden to the rear, failing that at the entrance to the housing estate their was a field which appears would have wild flowers in the summer months to look at if you just want to stretch the dogs legs a little bit more. Recommendation would definitely be Brancaster beach, sheringham beach and sheringham Park.. we had a full day at holkham hall and holkham beach. The grounds at holkham were dog friendly but obviously not the hall itself. Each day we would do around 20k steps on the beach's and in the woodlands, it's a fantastic area if you enjoy longer walks, we will definitely be back.

  • "Location was great for us quiet, out of the way."

The property was lovely we were really thrilled when we were looking round. The only issue we had was the bed linen in the main bedroom. It was uncomfortable trying to sleep, didn’t feel like 100% cotton and felt thin (do they need discarding?). It just made going to sleep difficult. We did a couple of walks on the promenade at Hunstanton. Had fish and chips at Henry’s (10/10) which was recommended in the accommodation information booklet which was very informative. We would definitely recommend this property and location. Thanks you to the owners.

Thank you for your feedback and will certainly take on board your comment about the linen. Glad you enjoyed lovely North Norfolk and hope to welcome you back on the future. Property Owner

  • "Enjoyed our 3 day break at Woodpecker."

It is spotless, well presented and comfortable The listing by Sykes was mis-leading giving 2 post codes and quoting Hunstanton 6 miles away when it is only 1 mile away

Thank you for letting us know that you were given incorrect directions. I have contacted Sykes again with the correct instructions and postcode. Glad you liked the property. Property Owner

  • "A lovely bungalow to stay in and everything inside the property and garden is very good."

The only drawback was that as it is on a housing estate there is still some building work going on. The property opposite the back garden gate in particular. So this was unfortunate and not the type of noise you expect whilst staying at your holiday home. But hopefully it will be short lived and other holiday makers won't have the noise we had.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback and I’m sorry about the noise from the garden that’s being landscaped as usually it’s a really quiet place Glad you liked the property and enjoyed the wonderful North Norfolk coast and the delights it has to offer. Property Owner

  • "Property was just lovely."

However there were two tiny points, we could not get the thermastat to work on the big oven so used the little grill oven instead - not a problem but just a niggle and we couldnt get the main shower to work so used the bath head one instead other than that it was just great! We apologise but we did forget some sweets in the cupboards they werent opened so hopefully the cleaners will enjoy them.

Our holiday has been lovely. We have been up and down the A149 finding little gems in the small villages at Brancaster beach and Harbour and Holme next to the sea and others. Our little Westie loved the garden as big has Our at home, we would recommend to others. We ate at many pubs, the Marnier and the Lodge Hotel amongst others. Thankyou for the welcome pack Alison very thoughtful Lynne and Tony from Yorkshire

Great for the dog to play outside safely. Nice, clean and well kept. Welcome pack was a lovely touch and appreciated. Walking distance to sea front and good base to explore Norfolk. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

  • "We booked this bungalow to have a break away during the Easter Holidays."

The bungalow was very clean, fully equipped and well presented and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the outside space due to the wet weather. It would have been helpful to have had the instructions readily available for the oven and dishwasher at the beginning of our stay. We found these on our last day in the side board draw in the lounge! We felt the single bed mattresses could do with replacing they were very springy, squeaky and not that comfortable. To aid with recycling, another bin in kitchen would have been useful to separate general waste from recyclable waste. Apart from these, we enjoyed our stay, the property was well located for visiting attractions in the local area and we would stay again and recommend this property to others.

  • "Woodpecker is situated within a beautiful looking new build estate with parking to the side of the property (for 2 vehicles) and side entrance gate to a very secure and private garden."

There is a small field / nature area just a 3 minute walk from the property - advisable to keep your dog on a lead as there are ducks - also found charmingly waddling around the estate - and deer in the woods. Woodpecker is perfectly situated within easy reach of many attractions and is well kept and clean with with good facilities in the property. Comfort in the property is generally really good although we personally found the beds to be a little soft and the corner suite in the living room ‘dipped’ on some of the seating cushions. We appreciated the welcome pack on arrival which was very thoughtful. Overall, this is a great place to stay, very cosy, homely and in a lovely peaceful area.

The property was very clean, had everything we needed and was ideally located. We found a 20 minute short cut that took us to the beach and into Hunstanton. The owners left a welcome package for both us and the dog - all of which was very much appreciated and all used. A very nice touch. We used some of the restaurant recommendations left and would definitely look at using this property again if we were to holiday in the area again.

  • "Woodpecker was a very comfortable and clean property with all the features I enjoy in my own home."

The enclosed garden was a bonus when taking my Black Lab. Woodpecker has South facing back garden, making it a sun trap and is not overlooked at all. The owners have put a lot of thought into what visitors are looking for. It is very quiet in the new estate, and located excellent for visiting a beautiful area. With superb Sandy beaches. We enjoy our stay very much. Minor point to make: The vacuum cleaner was completely blocked so I had to completely clean and service this before using. Thank you to the owners for giving us a lovely holiday.. I would rate Woodpecker 10 out of 10 a home from home place to stay with plenty of parking. David H.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback and glad you enjoyed the property and had a lovely holiday. Sorry to hear about the vacuum cleaner and will ensure this is regular,y checked in future. Property Owner

  • "Had a very comfortable time at Woodpecker, thank you and have already recommended to family & friends."

My only request would be better directions to the property it was not on our Satnav or Google maps would have hated to find in dark. Did not spoil holiday we had a wonderful time, thank you.

Hi I’m sorry you had difficulty with the satnav directions which we will take on board. However I don’t see how a rating of 50 out of 100 is justified because of poor directions. Also of note is the fact that we accommodated your last minute request to extend your stay so it can’t have been that bad and you recommended us to family and friends. Perhaps you can further explain the harsh score as it cannot purely been down to directions! Property Owner
