  • "Lovely holiday home, accurately portrayed in the photos and description, apart from the description saying there is a conservatory."

...we hunted, but didn't find it!! A very peaceful place, with only the sound of the stream and birds. The beach at Aberdaron is lovely. Local facilities are good.

  • "The cottage was beautiful."

even if it needed a bit more time on the cleanliness there were spiders in cobwebs in the kitchen and the skirting boards could have been cleaned a little better. There is possibly a wasps nest in the upstairs rooms as we counted 20 around the window this needs checking before any children stay there. The property although mainly flat on the ground floor is definitely NOT disabled friendly as the living room has 2 steps from the hall and 2 steps from the kitchen anyone with walking issues would not be able to access this room as the steps are quite high The bedrooms all had ensuite and were a really good size and bedding towels etc were provided as was coffee and milk the only thing I purchased was washing up liquid as it seemed a waste using the dishwasher. the owner provided lots of information which was most welcome the only thing lacking was instructions for the wood burner Not everyone has one of these and I had no idea where to start I would recommend taking shopping with you as the only store we found was a Spar in Aberdaron and it was very expensive. I have been to Aberdaron several times over the last 30 years and love the area and walks on the beach would I go again probably not the property was too big for just the 2 of us but bring the family and I am sure you will love the cottage and the surrounding area.

  • "An attractive, spacious and comfortable cottage in an idyllic location."

Very rural and surrounded by glorious countryside yet within easy distance of Aberdaron even on foot. On sunny evenings it was a pleasure to sit in the private and sheltered garden. Good parking but a narrow and tricky entrance into and out of the driveway. Regrettably a few negatives. The kitchen utensils were somewhat lacking, no sieve that I could find, a very old and barely functioning tin opener and saucepans in need of a good wash before use. The laundry rack was broken and would not stay up and the cupboards were very sticky. Nevertheless we had a wonderful holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely revisit the Llin Peninsula and stay at Glan Felin.

The beds are really comfortable with good quality bedding and the bedrooms have good sized en-suites. Mrs. Fish the owner was very friendly and accommodating as nothing was too much trouble. We needed to contact her on a couple of occasions as the battery for the smoke alarm in the hall needed replacing and the internet went down ( our fault as we had, unknowingly, switched it off at the socket). She promptly came out and sorted them both out for us quite happily.

The main living room with wood burner is a very impressive but comfortable space & the kitchen well equipped. A small welcome pack of biscuits, milk with tea, coffee & sugar was most thoughtful. Careful of the decking when wet as very slippy. A few lightbulbs not present or working, a bit more dusting of cobwebs and the en-suite in the end double was very damp with a faulty loo… kept filling ! But these are only minor issues that can easily be addressed. Highly recommended !

The two double bedrooms are a great size and the beds are extremely comfortable. The two upstairs bedrooms are really only suitable for children due to the reduced headroom - our two 16 year olds are over 6ft so struggled a bit. • "Lovely holiday at Glan Felin."

The cottage is about 1.5 miles north of Aberdaron down some narrow roads. It is extremely quite and peaceful apart from the sounds of nature. The area below the decking by the stream has been allowed to grow naturally with primroses and white bluebells but also a bit overgrown. Maybe this is deliberate but it could be nicer. The decking would be nice with some plants. It was a bit stark. However it's an ideal place to sit and watch the birds on the feeders. The cottage was well equipped and the heating was good with plenty of hot water. If you are travelling with a pet the garden is not enclosed apart from the decking area.

However it was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. It took us a while to find the property when we arrived in Aberdaron, don’t think we were given any directions. The sat nav only took us to the postcode so were travelling around narrow lanes and had to ask at a house! We have been holidaying in self catering properties for over 40 years now and recently most places provide some sort of welcome pack. (A bottle of milk in the fridge at least. ) Maybe something the owners could possibly consider in the future? The bed was extremely comfortable but the sofas were not. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was clean, plenty of cutlery and crockery, although the cooker getting a little tired. Don’t mean to sound negative, we had a great holiday and hope to visit the area again next year. We didn’t need to contact the owners but knew they were on hand should we have needed to.

We had a week of sunshine so enjoyed some picnic lunches in the garden and in the evenings we made good use of the TV/DVD/Netflix. It is a comfortable and roomy facility downstairs with two large ground floor double and en suite bedrooms. The bedrooms upstairs are geared more towards children with relatively low ceilings and quite steep stairs up to the rooms so ideal family accommodation. There is good wifi access but we had to go outside for a phone signal. The house is along a long, narrow lane but it is only a few miles from beautiful Aberdaron where there are lovely beaches and coastal walks and a couple of dog friendly pubs, cafes, a bakery with cafe, some tourist shops and a spar (closes at 5pm). It was a good base for exploring the area and there is lots of lovely scenery to enjoy. Going in June was great as the beaches were fairly quiet despite the warm weather.

This was quickly rectified (Freeview needed re-tuning because, for some unknown reason, neither BBC1 nor BBC2 were available when we got there) With regards to the listing - it is stated that the property is IN Aberdaron. I think it would be fairer to say it was NEAR Aberdaron - it is in a rural/semi-rural location and was a good 15-20 minute walk to the centre of the village.
