  • "Fantastic cottage in a lovely location."

We had a restful week. Our little chihuahua loved zooming around the grassed area of the pretty garden. Would love to stay again next year but it’s booked all Summer.

  • "Cosy Welsh cottage in beautiful location with easy access to Abersoch Short break in this gorgeous Welsh cottage."

We love Abersoch and it’s great bars and restaurants, but the village can be a little busy for us, even off season. Llanengan is only 5 mins drive or a 25 min walk over the hill, yet could be a world away. It has a fabulous pub, the Sun Inn, with great food and is just by the stunning Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth Beach). The cottage is down a short narrow private road (fine for all vehicles with care) behind the lovely church - there’s parking for 2 cars. It’s quite bijou but was great for us 2 adults ( the second bedroom is probably best for children or teens). The facilities were comprehensive and in great condition. The Wi-Fi was fine and we liked being able to pair our devices to the smart TVs (one in main bedroom). The stylish bathroom seems to be relatively new. We were lucky to have sunny days so took advantage of the amazing long garden which faces towards the sea. There are different outside seating areas and there is even a fully functioning loo in the shed so you don’t have to walk back to the house after a few alfresco drinks. The evenings were a bit chilly so we loved having the wood burner (with some wood provided). Everything was spotless and we were pleased that some basic supplies (toilet roll, dishwasher tablet, cooking oil etc) were left to start us off until our shopping delivery arrived. The local Spa convenience store in Abersoch had everything you could need, though we were pleasantly surprised that the Waitrose in Menai Bridge (30 miles away) could deliver here. There is also a surprisingly good bus service at the time of our visit so you could get to/from Pwllheli and connect with the Cambrian Coast trains, meaning a car is not essential. In summary we would thoroughly recommend this place for year round holidays.

  • "A very pretty cosy cottage , located in the lovely village of Llanengan."

A perfect location to explore and enjoy walks to the beach and the charming village of Abersoch. The cottage has a very well-equipped stylish kitchen and bathroom. The main sitting area features a log burner and is a relaxing cosy space to relax and chill. A private enclosed tranquil garden has stunning views over Porth Neigwl, and the cottage is a few minutes' walk from the dog friendly Sun Inn serving great food and drinks. In all a perfect place to getaway at any time of year.

  • "This is a lovely 2 bedroom cottage in a beautiful village only a mile out of Abersoch village."

There is a quaint village pub, The Sun Inn, serving fresh food and drink daily which is literally a 2 minute walk away. The log burner makes the cottage super cosy on the cooler days and the private back garden and views are delightful. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
