  • "Wonderful property, clean and tidy."

Good sets of clear instructions. One fault - the Dyson vacuum cleaner was absolutely filthy (We have a Dyson). (Dog?) hair completely impacted around the cylinder so the vacuum really didn't suck. I spent 40 minutes sorting that out, now it sucks but the smell as it works is disgusting. Easy fix, clean it properly and empty it regularly. Other than that absolutely fabulous property. Thank you, we had a lovely time there.

So glad that you enjoyed the property and had a lovely time. Thank you for bringing the vacuum to our attention, this has now been dealt with. Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved this property."

Modern, full of comfort & everything you could possibly need. Well maintained, clean & just wonderful. On the main road which isn’t a disappointment. Our small dog was very safe in the 100% dog proof garden. The garden was beautiful, well kept & overlooking an amazing view. I’d recommend this property & would definitely go back.

We're so happy that you found the cottage comfortable and that your dog enjoyed the garden. Thank you so much for the lovely review, we hope you come back soon. Property Owner

It feels as though a lot of care, attention and love was put into its restoration. Easy driving to several coastal towns, country parks and places of interest. Good phone and internet signal which is always a bonus.

  • "The owner has obviously worked hard on this property."

The cottage is beautiful with modern facilities and is spotless. However, the owners have still kept its old cottage feeling. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you would ever need. Nice lounge area with large sofas and a good choice of tv viewing and full internet access. Beautiful logburners both in kitchen and lounge unfortunately we did not know how to use them and didn’t really need to as the property was warm enough when we visited. Comfortable bedrooms with master on suite. It is very welcoming with a lovely garden with picnic bench and the summerhouse was lovely. Nice area for sitting out with a glass of wine in the sunshine of an evening. For us, with dogs I thought the fencing in the garden was a bit too low as the property is on a busy main road. However, you could keep them on a leash if needed and ours are well behaved. When booking we was not aware of the busy road which is constant even through the night. I would not let this put you off because the property is lovely and in an ideal location for exploring the area which has lovely beaches for walking and close access to the coastal paths. We really enjoyed our stay at Sweetholme lovely cottage in a lovely area of Wales. We would have given five stars because the property is worth it but it was the road that we was not aware of when booking. You still have a lovely place.

Thank you so much for your lovely review of Sweetholme. We're really happy that you found the cottage clean and comfortable. Glad you had some sunshine so that you could enjoy the garden. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, good facilities, slight problem in its location on the main route down the Liyn Peninsula, so plenty of constant traffic, sadly the off street parking was not really suitable as it was up a kerb, but could park on the road by the bus stop, as long as there was a space !"

    !

So glad you liked the cottage and facilities. We are on the main route along the Llyn Peninsula but this gives great access to all areas whether you are venturing to the beach or the mountains. Property Owner

  • "A lovely property."

Dog was well catered for with all the throws and even food, although we brought our own. We had two cars and no problem with parking. Just an observation on the central heating, we think the radiators need bleeding as the larger bedroom radiator didn’t come on and made strange noises now and again. This didn’t bother us as the cottage was plenty warm enough. Would stay their again.

Thank you for your feedback, we hope you had some lovely walks with your dog. Glad the parking was okay for you. We will definitely have a look at the bedroom radiator, thanks for letting us know. Can't wait to see you back. Property Owner

  • "We’ve just returned from a fabulous week at Sweetholme."

The cottage is clean, nicely furnished and very well equipped. There was also a lovely garden that we didn’t get to use due to the time of year but our dog enjoyed! The cottage is well located for exploring the peninsula, 20 mins from Abersoch and Nefyn. Although located on a busy A road, we didn’t notice the traffic when inside the cottage. We also had no problem parking our SUV in the now extended parking space.

So glad you enjoyed your week, thank you for the wonderful review. Great to know that the parking wasn't a problem. Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Sweetholme in October and had a lovely time."

The cottage is beautifully finished with traditional features and very modern appliances and bathrooms, it felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel that also felt very homely - a winning combination! Very conveniently located for access to the Llyn Peninsula and the rest of North Wales. The best cottage we have stayed in so far. Highly recommended. Many thanks from Ross, Jackie and Bailey the Cockapoo.

Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are really happy that you enjoyed your stay. Hope Bailey enjoyed the garden and beaches. Property Owner

  • "Very uncomfortable."

Furniture too large for small rooms. Electric cooker unfathomable. Parking involved mounting kerb, even then blocking part of cycle path. Steps to entrance very difficult to navigate.

We're very sorry that you thought the furniture was too large. There are instructions for the electric cooker. We are attending the cottage next week to extend the parking. Property Owner

Parking a problem but fortunately a space by the bus stop was always available.

Many thanks for your lovely review of the cottage, so glad you enjoyed your stay. We are increasing the parking space directly outside the cottage in October so hopefully if you return you will find the parking easier. Property Owner

  • "One of the best cottages we’ve ever stayed in!"

Clean , comfortable, picturesque too if I was being super picky then I’d say parking but for 99% of the time the road by the bus stop was empty and there is the little pull off in front- superb cottage

Thank you so much for the lovely review, we're really pleased you found the cottage comfortable. We're extending the parking in front of the cottage in October so hopefully if you return there will be more space. Gill & Dave Property Owner
