  • "Lower dishwasher rack still not repaired."

Did not wash properly and eject tablet. Room 6 cold tap and toilet seat need attention. Where were the oven gloves and water jugs? Towel rails in individual bathrooms would help, difficult to dry pool and shower towels. Bath/shower mats missing from rooms with enuite showers. Storage shelf in bathroom would be appreciated. Some said the fabric conditioner on the sheets was an overwhemingly unpleasant smell. Otherwise, a great house for 8 'old' ladies having a school reunion, enjoyed the pool, well equipped kitchen, plenty of freezer and fridge space. Would consider a repeat visit.

  • "Would have been 5 stars except the dishwasher was both too small and the bottom tray did not fit properly."

It resulted in dishes not cleaning properly and we had to hand-wash. Although plenty of pint and wine glasses, some more tumblers would have been nice. Otherwise we had a great time and especially loved the outdoor space. Everywhere was very clean and the showers had plenty of hot water delivered at a nice pressure.

  • "This property is a mixed bag!"

Some amazing features, the garden space, football pitch, BBQ, Sonos, huge TV and PS5 are all outstanding, strangely not mentioned or shown in photos and these were all fabulous! However, the attached property (not mentioned on the site) is incredibly scruffy and dubious looking with blacked out windows, definitely made us feel uneasy on arrival. I'm not sure the cleaners had done the floors as there was dog hair everywhere, so the first thing we did was sweep and mop. The outdoor seating is a little tired and well worn, not sure how much longer some of it will last.....the pool house looks like a falling down shed from the outside but inside is lovely, and the pool was clean, warm and much larger than anticipated. The sofas in the living room, although plentiful are also on their last legs, with little stuffing support in places. The showers were also incredibly scruffy, blackened silicone, leaking trays etc. The place would definitely benefit from some TLC. For our stay it provided a big space for a family get together, which was lovely, and certainly made the most of it and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however if you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you.

  • "What an amazing find."

The house is very well kitted out for a family holiday. The children, and adults, loved the pool and there were even inflatables on the side. The outside has BBQ griddle was amazing. We had an evening BBQ and then used it for bacon and eggs on the Sunday morning. The garden space with a children's climbing frame, slide and swing as well as a football field and lots of outside picnic tables, some under cover, meant that we were all able to enjoy family activities. The beds were comfy and the showers lovely and hot. A really wonderful find.

There was something for everyone, with the pool being a very popular attraction. The updated lounge/dining room flooring/decoration and new pool lining were done very well and demonstates the commitment of the owner to provide high quality accomodation. All very clean, pool brilliant, loads of room, all the kitchen equipment for big groups, lovely quiet area with safe walks from site, very modern tv and sound system,3 big fridge freezers and a wash house at back. Ideal place we will use again. We went mid March and it was always warm in side. Bet the gardens look great in Summer and offers loads, including small football pitch, swings and slide and the pool. The owner mentioned adding a filter coffee machine soon, which would be perfect as we all spent alot of time catching up, sat mainly around the massive dining table on very comfy chairs. Congratulations to the owners, they have a very affordable and decent property for large groups.

It is lovely, homely and comfortable and well equipt. Plenty of space, we knew we had extras rooms but needed a house big enough for family and pets. There were 12 of us and 2 dogs who attended in the end. The kitchen has everything we needed, large table and lounge with space for all of us. Outside area is lovely, we made the most given our visit in February, kids playing on football pitch, lovely seating area opposite and the pool in our building was added bonus (take flip flops for transport!) The beds were comfy. There was a play station 5 for the kids. Our boy Frank(the Dog) had the best time of his life, properly dog friendly. There's an awesome outdoor BBQ area with loads of seating. A huge TV with sky tv. They have thought of everything to give you an awesome stay. There were a couple of downsides to the stay but they weren't bad enough to stop us returning. The toilets were all blocked when we flushed the toilet in our room water came up the shower drain hole. All of the toilets in every room filled with water and took an age to empty, also you couldn't shower for long because of the shower tray filling up with water. During the night the water pipes made a horrendous screaming noise, the only way to shut them up was to run the tap on the bath for a few seconds, probably happened about 5 time a night. There were Ants in the kitchen cupboard next to the cooker, we only found out the next morning when we went to have breakfast. One last thing was the swimming pool. There was far to much chlorine in it. To the point your eyes stung as soon as you walked in, within 15 mins or so it was difficult to stay in the pool because of how much your eyes stung. These things are easily fixable and is by no means a horrible review. We all thoroughly enjoyed it there. Thank you

Property perfect for a large family spanning 4 generations plus four legged friends. PlayStation 5 went down a treat with the teenagers and adults on what was a rainy, windy week. Everyone enjoyed the swimming pool and the inflatables were a bonus. Any problems we encountered due to storm were dealt with efficiently and nothing was too much trouble. The man on the end of the phone even arranged for the boxing to be on TV Saturday evening for us. Only one suggestion would be that the secure area outside conservatory could be slabbed, as grass was extremely boggy due to excess rain and this caused us a worry over dogs muddy footprints when we let them out, in the dark on first night not realising that the slabs we saw became grass. This is by no means a criticism as we realise the weather was extreme but maybe worth considering. We had a very enjoyable week and will definitely be back thank you!

There were enough bathrooms and en suites that we did not feel on top of each other. It is possible to fit two travel cots in a room but will not be able to get to the wardrobe etc. We appreciated being able to all sit down to eat together in the dining room, and in the conservatory/living room. The outside space was great with a gas bbq and children’s climbing frame, slide and swing for older children, and small sectioned off field for ball games. Agree with a previous reviewer that the photos of the outside space do not do it justice. The pool is not as warm as a public pool and is more a playing size than swimming size. The floats are provided. There were two fridge freezers so plenty of space for our large food delivery. Washing up materials were provided and there was foil, cling film etc. We did not find any bbq utensils. There was some oil and salt. Towels and tea towels were provided but need to bring extra towels for the pool. There was hand wash in some of the en-suites but not all. The only small issues we found were that there were flies in the communal areas especially which seemed to bite, there were insufficient bin bags for a week, there were some flashing lights in the garden that kept us awake at night until we managed to switch them off, and the parking required some cars to be blocked in. We put the rubbish bin out one day as we noticed the neighbours bins out and it was not in the instructions whether that would be done and it was full. We were grateful for the use of this excellent large group property and would rebook this property.

The gardens are amazing and we had beautiful weather which helped. Sadly, which was nothing to do with the Williws, someone crashed into our car on the way so we didn’t arrive until very late and we had to spend a lot of time during our holiday making phone calls to the insurers/car hire etc, but bring in the gorgeous surroundings helped. I would certainly recommend Sykes cottages if they’re all like the Willows!

The bedrooms were a good size, the beds were comfortable and all had some form of en-suite facilities. The dining room accommodated us all easily and there was plenty of seats in the lounge. The kitchen was well stocked including cleaning materials and cling film etc. We were especially impressed with the supply of sharp knives. The kitchen layout could be improved. The outside area is impressive, with some play equipment (which we weren't expecting) and loads of space for children and dogs. There are even some fruit trees, which is good at this time of the year. The swimming pool was well used especially by the younger members of the party. All were impressed with Willows.

  • "Our party of 11, ages 5 to 75, thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Willows."

The rooms were all very comfortable with en suite facilities although some rooms did not have a shower. The younger members of our party took full advantage of the football pitch complete with goalposts and the very large lawned area for rounders, cricket and other strenuous activities while the olds could sit under the gazebo enjoying a drink or two and prepare the gas barbeque. There was plenty of storage space in fridges and cupboards and plenty of glassware and crockery for us all. It was also good to find general cleaning products provided. The swimming pool was well used every day but access for the older members was somewhat difficult, having to climb up the wooden steps with not much space to manoeuvre. We had been concerned beforehand that there would not be much to do in the area, particularly if the weather had been poor. In the event, we had a week of sunshine and found zoo parks, boat rides on the river Severn, the Ironworks, canoeing, quad biking and segwaying, all within 30 mins drive and all great fun and new experiences.

  • "10/10. We have just had an absolutely amazing week away at The Willows."

Booked a year ago for a 30th birthday celebration with family ageing from 2 years old to mid-80's. We were all hopeful for a good week, and we certainly weren't disappointed. The place was really clean and tidy, and there were even added extras we weren't expecting, such as loo rolls already in all of the toilets, and dishwasher tablets. The number of rooms and showers and toilets is brilliant. The pictures of the living areas don't do it justice because there was more than enough room for us all (18 in total). It was lovely to be able to all sit down and eat together also. The outside area had us though. We had the most amazing weather, and pretty much all lived outside! The football area was a hit, and it is great that it was away from the rest of the garden so the boys could all run themselves silly, while the rest of us could chill in the sun. The shaded area was also a great touch for those of us who can't face the sun! The horses were a hit with the kids - a lovely added extra to be able to see them. The pool was fab, and added another activity to do for us all. Loads of games and bits to do - impossible to get bored. Loads of little extras, like the outdoor speaker for example, were the cherry on the cake for us. We all had an absolutely amazing time and would 100% recommend this to anyone - we might even book ourselves again at some point in the future. A massive thank you to the cleaners and owners for making everything so perfect for this special family celebration. Many thanks.

Big, plenty of space for everyone involved (we had a party of 12). Communal dining area was perfect for lots of people to sit down for meals and games together and the swimming pool was always really warm! Kept in an out house a short walk (20 seconds) from house itself the owners keep it clean and serviced. I would happily recommend this venue for anyone who has extended friends or family and want time away together without the expense and hassle of going abroad. Oh and the beds where probably the most comfortable sleep I have had in years!

The property, directions and key collection were great. The property was clean with lots of cleaning extras like washing powder and fabric conditioner available. The pool was good but in a rather uninviting barn where condensation was dripping from green slimy beams into the pool itself. A great outdoor space for dogs to run around and even dog towels provided which was a nice touch. Our only problem was the kitchen electric kept tripping when the oven was on as we tried to cook a meal for 15 hungry adults. Easily fixed but inconvenient! Another useful extra could be a hose pipe outside for washing muddy dogs and boots. Otherwise nice location, helpful owners and good car parking.
