  • "Whilst we loved the cottage and the complementary bits that were provided."

There were 4 of us and found it difficult with only one toilet - the property would benefit with another toilet especially if it was full with 6 persons. Also, the parking was a bit of a problem - especially when unloading and loading the cars.

Thanks for your feedback. The details clearly state that there is one bathroom with one toilet, the parking arrangements are also made very clear - Beaumaris is a busy town but there is plenty of parking on the green or on various side streets. Glad to hear you enjoyed the welcome pack! Best wishes Property Owner

  • "We had a fabulous stay, thank you."

Having read the previous review, I must say we didn’t have any issues with the bathroom, it was lovely. To be fair, we don’t spend our holidays looking at toilet seats or bathroom ceilings though, we were far too busy enjoying the beautiful area! Enjoyed food and drinks in The Bull and The Liverpool Arms and sea fishing on our friends boat. The cottage is clean, beds are comfortable, everything we needed. Parking can be a bit difficult, but with a bit of patience you can find a space. We will stay here again.

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review - we really appreciate it. We are in the process of upgrading a few "bits and bobs" and hope to welcome you again soon. Best wishes Property Owner

  • "The bathroom refit is quite disappointing."

What was really needed was a proper extractor fan. There is zero effective air extraction which has been the case for years which is why there are permanently black mould spots on the ceiling. This is unpleasant and unnecessary when we are paying good money and at some point it will be what stops us returning. The toilet seat has been fitted badly at an angle. This makes it look like a bad job, it’s uncomfortable to use and it’s unhygienic. The nature and position of the shower and it’s shower tray make it literally impossible to rinse away sand which is common after a beach day.

Hi Louise - thank you for your feedback about the new bathroom which was a little disappointing to read as we've had such lovely feedback pretty much all season. We will revisit the extractor fan (which is new) as we were not aware it was causing a problem nor were we aware there was a problem with the toilet. Hope you find something suitable that meets your needs for next year. Best wishes Property Owner

  • "We stayed at this cottage two years ago."

It isn’t luxurious but was comfortable and clean, so booked this year with 2 grandchildren and dog. On returning this year we still found it comfortable, the beds were really comfy! but it was looking a bit tired, especially the tables and tub chairs in the sitting room. One of the lampshades was broken, as was a lamp in the twin bedroom at the top of the stairs. We did enjoy our stay but think the cottage could benefit from a bit of tlc.

Thanks for your review - disappointed to read some of the comments. The chairs have now been replaced and we have new lamps! Unfortunately we have to do things gradually due to increased running costs. We hope to welcome you again. Property Owner

  • "The old coach house was such a gorgeous house, very clean and tidy with everything you needed to enjoy a lovely holiday."

It's beautifully presented with lovely art and furniture. The courtyard is such a sun trap, we thoroughly enjoyed our evenings drinks there. It's situated in a quiet lane, very close to the town, with the most amazing bakery at the end of the road. I definitely will be back.

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback - we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again . Best wishes Property Owner

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
