  • "This property was stunning."

The best self catering property we have been to. It has everything you could possibly need and more. Spotless when we arrived. A lovely welcome pack. Furnishings and fittings were beautiful , like a home from home.

  • "We absolutely loved Ty Biwmares."

It was extremely comfortable and in a perfect location - just a couple of minutes walk (if that) to pubs, restaurants, shops etc. Very handy to have parking as well. The house was spotless when we arrived and the quality of appliances and furnishings were very good. Really appreciated the welcome basket and milk and fizz in the fridge. Beaumaris itself is a gem. Quite small but very friendly with everything on the doorstep. I can heartily recommend the Liverpool Arms and Sarisa Indian Kitchen for food. All in all it was a lovely break.

  • "We felt well satisfied with the high standard, cleanliness & impressive character of this accommodation."

The combination of 2 car capacity parking in such a conveniently central but quiet location in lovely Beaumaris was also most welcome.

  • "Great property with plenty of living space in the spacious kitchen and dining area on the first floor and the living room on the ground floor- would have been good to have a working fire rather than marked not in use."

. Nice big bathroom with large shower and roll top bath ion ground floor adjacent to reasonable sized double bedroom. Other 2 bedrooms in attic space were cosy and very suitable for children. Low ceilings for tall adults. Kitchen was very well equipped and a great space for entertaining. Property is in the heart of Beaumaris and with 2 parking spaces ( v rare for the town!) it’s a great location. Overall would recommend.

  • "Ty Biwmaris is a great property."

I can’t think of a better place to visit Beaumaris. It’s situated right in the heart of the town, opposite the best bakery in town and just a minute from the high street and the seafront. The house has huge character and lots of room in the living areas. We stayed for Christmas to be near family (I grew up in Beaumaris just down the street!) and it was a lovely stay. The owners had put up a great Xmas tree and left us Chocolates and a bottle of Prosecco which went down very well. The lounge downstairs has a large, comfortable corner sofa (sometimes in rented properties I find the sofa space too small) which was lovely for cosying up to watch the TV. Please be aware that the kitchen and lounge area are on 2 different floors. It does say this is the description but just wanted to stress it again for anyone reading. If I had to make any recommendation at all, I would ask for low light/beside lights in the downstairs bedroom as the overhead alcove lighting was a bit too bright. I highly recommend this property.

  • "We stayed at Ty Biwmares with our grandchildren and we all had a great time."

The location is great and we greatly appreciated having 2 parking spaces right in the middle of town - and a first class bakery just opposite to us. The conversion has been very well done and the property definitely has the wow factor. It is very spacious - especially the ground and first floors. It was very comfortable, light and airy. It would appear that no expense has been spared with the furniture, furnishings, kitchen appliances, crockery etc and this was greatly appreciated. There was space in abundance in the kitchen cabinetry. There is limited head room on the third floor but we were already aware of that. The beds were extremely comfortable. We would definitely like to return to holiday again in the property and would recommend it to anyone visiting Beamaris.

  • "Perfect location for the town and local shops; we really enjoyed taking advantage of everything the town had to offer!"

Property was clean and tidy with one the most well equipped kitchens that we have ever stayed. Lovely decor and personal touches throughout that made the property feel very homely, and appreciation of the history of the chapel. Real advantage not only having the ability to park our 2 cars, but also charge our electric vehicle which was a real plus. Even though the weather was not great, the property helped make up for it with a perfect set up to be able to entertain and spend time with the family, regardless of the wind and rain outside. Thank you!

The property

Located in the bustling centre of Beaumaris, this quirky chapel conversion is a marvellous base for exploring the delights of the Isle of Anglesey and beyond.

Ty Biwmares forms the predominant part of Capel Seion, a 19th century Italianate-style chapel structure by architect Evan Thomas, which has been listed for its special architectural interest, so you can be sure that this property holds unique charm and plenty of character.

Walk over the original tiled hallway and through into the spacious sitting room, here you can find plenty of places to recline and relax whilst being encompassed by the traditional ceiling features of the chapel.

The ground floor is also home to a double bedroom, and with two more bedrooms on the second-floor compromising of a twin and an intertwined double with its own en-suite shower room, the layout of this property is ideal for a variety of group types, ensuring each member has a plush resting spot when you’re not exploring the wonders on your doorstep.

Next to the ground floor bedroom is a gleaming bathroom featuring an impressive roll top bath and a separate shower room, so you can decide how to best prepare for your day.

On the first floor is an impressive open-plan living space, home to a large oak and granite kitchen, dining area and sitting area carrying on the quirks of the property, this room offers a sociable area to gather over a home-cooked meal or a classic film.

The character dining area has rustic lighting and eaves, this property holds an array of wonder from top to bottom.

Ty Biwmares provides off road private parking for two cars within the entrance courtyard.

Step outside to uncover the delights of Beaumaris, a historic town offering shops and eateries, as well as its own castle, a museum, art gallery, and historical landmarks, you’ll never be short of excitement.

For a day out with a difference, take a Puffin Island cruise or a sea fishing trip to experience nature up close and personal, or for a more relaxed day, head to Red Wharf Bay for an afternoon of sun soaking and sandcastle building.

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
