Accessible location to explore Snowdonia and beyond. The EV charger was an essential for us, and the cost was more than reasonable compared to public charging.

"Great place for couples, on a smaller side but has everything you need."
The spiral stairs would need to get used to and there is electric chargers available, woop woop!
Plenty of cutlery and you do probably have to cook as Just Eat won't work there. ;)

The cottage is wonderful. Surrounding area and sheep guests in the morning - amazing. I love the bedroom on the second floor.
A little outdated oven, but bearable. What was missing was a hair dryer.
Google brings right to it.
Ian is a great person to communicate with.

"A nicely converted barn, with all mod cons."
Excellent location, close to Caernarfon, Conwy, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay. Beautiful scenery within the Snowdonia national park and plenty to do. The local pub is well worth a visit and just over a mile away. I thoroughly recommend the barn and will be paying another visit in the future years.

Pot holes leading up to the property were terrible and we were in a 4x4 Could have been a tad cleaner on entry dead flies in cobwebs on windows and dead flies on windowsills Other than that fantastic property for our stay so peaceful and quiet
Pot holes have now been filled. It’s a wide farm track, totally suitable for all vehicles. Apologies if there were a few dead flies - cleaner was there 2 days before you arrived. Won’t happen again!

"Super quiet & peaceful."
Loved the amazing views, loved having the cows & sheep for neighbours, loved the milky way and the stary sky on the few clear hours we had. Good location to explore North Wales from. Despite the storms we toured Barmouth, Llangollen, Bala, Llandudno, Lake Vyrnwy and other spots.

"We had a lovely stay at the cottage."
Everything you could possibly need was there. The surroundings were superb and made it possible to wind down and relax. Our toddler loved waking up to the sight of cows outside the window.
We will return when we are in the area again.

The location was beautiful, spectacular views & very peaceful. The little welcome gifts were greatly appreciated especially the Yorkshire Tea!! The bed was very comfortable slept with ease, couldn't have picked a better location or place to stay. You have done an amazing job with the little cottage everything is so nicely set out. The addition of a log burner just made it complete & cosy, home from home. Another set of towels would have been nice to have for our 5 night stay but that's just about all we could pick fault on to be honest!! Everything else was on point and we would love to come back at some point in the near future. Thank you!

"My boyfriend and I had the loveliest time staying in Ian’s beautiful little cottage."
It is perfect for couples or people staying alone. There are great views from every window and it is only a short drive to Betws-y-Coed, where there are lots of scenic walks and nice pubs. This cottage is cosy and we were provided with everything that we needed. The location is stunning and it is extremely peaceful at night, you get a great sleep as it is so quiet. It was lovely of Ian to greet us when we arrived, he was very friendly and told us everything that we needed to know about the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay :)

"We loved our week in this beautiful cottage."
The position and views were outstanding, and on the one day the weather blew hard we stayed in and enjoyed the warmth and security of the barn.
Very friendly locals and walked to pub ( 25 MINS) and booked Sun lunch. Visited most of Snowdonia from coast to mountain and a perfect base just off the beaten track. Modern, smart , and would return.
Sat nav ok to pub and small local caravan site ( signposted ) then up road and left at no through junction, past indicated left turn and look for gate. with sign on left. We had stunning views and sunsets and on two nights the stars were magnificent and lying in bed could see the plough through roof light close enough to reach out to.

"A generally well appointed cottage which needs some refinement to justify the price charged."
The lighting, heating and hot water provision were excellent. The total lack of any written information in the cottage could be a problem for some. We were not impressed by the loose electricity socket or the unprotected terminal block. The trip hazard at the top of the spiral staircase needs attention. A curtain or blind on the clear glass entrance door would greatly improve the ambiance in the living area at night. Internet connectivity was spasmodic.
Please check out the other reviews for this cottage. Rest assured that there is no trip hazard, the terminal block is in the back of a cupboard and isn't an issue (it isn't connected and has now been removed anyway) and we haven't been able to find a loose socket. Internet was intermittent the week that Ivan and Auriel stayed (the weather was awful) but has been fine since. The entrance door is completely private, so there is no possibility of being overlooked.
I have now prepared a list of information for the cottage, but I always make a point of meeting the guests on arrival and explaining the heating, recycling, TVs, internet etc.
The cottage is quirky; it may not be 100% to everyone's taste but I've yet to meet anyone who hasn't really enjoyed their stay. It definitely isn't expensive!

"Had a wonderfully peaceful stay at Ian's beautiful little cottage."
The cottage is newly refurbished so everything is spotlessly clean, an absolute surplus of pillows and blankets all over for snuggling when cold. We cooked every night we were there and the kitchen is fully equipped with all your cooking utensils. Central heating and a fire meant we were always warm enough. Best thing about the cottage is the views over the valley, in fact great views from three sides of the cottage, and also lots of skylights for star gazing as well. The local pub is walking distance, but only opens from 5pm, one to thing to watch for.

"A lovely, modern, recently renovated cottage,in the shell of an existing farmhouse building."
In an absolutely beautiful location. Ian made us feel at home & is the perfect host/owner.
Ideal location for couples for peace & quiet. Betws-y-coed is only 10 mins away by car & has some great arts,crafts & general shops in a beautiful mystical backdrop, with the stunning River Conwy running through it.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
