  • "This is a beautiful home and very clean and comfortable."

It is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in since using Sykes. My friend and I took our dogs, and it was a very short drive (maximum 1 hour) to the most spectactular places to visit and walk. The cottage is set within a very small village with a local pub 2 mins away, and the people here are so friendly. It made the long drive (7 hours) worth it.

Thank you Sandra for your kind words, I try to make our guest’s stay as enjoyable as I can and provide a place that I would like to book myself. Thank you for booking Pennant and I hope that you’ll return soon. Best wishes Clare Property Owner

Secured garden for our dogs Teddy and Rupert. Cottage was well equipped (the only thing we could not find was a cheese grater - sorry for being picky). The cottage was very clean on arrival - beds, towels and linen all great. Slight problem with the outside drain - but dealt with. We would highly recommend and are aiming to return. Thanks for a great stay - you have a near perfect property. Mark/Jo.

Thank you Mark &Jo for the lovely comments. I’m glad that you enjoyed your stay . I’m sorry about the cheese grater , I’m not sure what’s happened to it, there used to be one. Thank you for pointing it out because I’ll get another one now. I look forward to welcoming you back again. Kind regards Clare Property Owner

? this Cottage has definitely been one of the best we have stayed in, everything you could possibly need, and the comfy beds, we stayed with our 5 year old and dachshund puppy, we were staying to visit family locally and it was perfect to get back at the end of the day and just chill out, the garage is tight but I left the parking to my hubby, who had no issue! hoping to come back back later in the year too

Pennant was a ideal location for getting out and about and the view from the bedroom window was special : the property itself was clean, spacious, kitchen equipment galore, very comfy bed And well placed for the local shop, If I had to be critical my only grouse was the garage being small for my car but we managed - we had a lovely time and Clare the owner was more than helpful when we contacted her ( and she's posting my hat to me that I left there ) - thank you

Its in a perfect location to explore the North of Wales. The milk and fruit cake was a nice touch The beds are very comfy - main bedroom has a softer mattress and the 2nd bedroom has a firmer mattress. The garden is great for a dog as its safe and secure. The garage was great also and easily fitted my Toyota.

Llindir pub is lovely and welcoming. Fields next to the cottage for walking, outhouse to store our bikes, managed to fit our MG5 estate in the garage without issue. Will book again soon!

Easy to get to from the A55. Great secure rear garden for the dogs. Close to the friendly village pub and walks straight out of the front door. Plenty of room to get my Terios in the garage. There were a few minor issues but nothing that affected our stay, emailed the owners to make them aware and enable them to sort things out, would happily go back.

  • "Beautiful cottage and very well equipped."

Everything you could need was provided including comprehensive information about surrounding areas. The garden was secure and perfect for my little dog. Bed was comfy and bathroom was very good. O pnly downside was bath did not feel secure climbing in and out but probably because it was freestanding. On the plus side there was a beautiful walk in shower. I would happily book the cottage again.

Thank you Janette for your lovely feedback. You’re correct in saying that the bath is freestanding & it can appear less stable than a fixed bath . We look forward to your return visit. Kind regards Clare Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our 4 night stay over the New Year at Pennant."

The house was spotless throughout. It was very cold when we got there and took until the morning to heat up properly, but from then on was lovely and cosy. We had the dog with us and there were plenty of walks in the area, from the house or with the car to surrounding areas. The only problem we had was that our car was too big to be parked in the garage, so we parked in the pubs car park which was very full at times, but that may have been because of the New Year. I would recommend staying at Pennant and would definetly go back to stay again.

Parked in the pub car park. The landlady was very nice and said it was fine for us to park there and it was only 2 mins walk from the car park to the cottage. The village is very pretty and it was a good place to access the surrounding beauty spots and coast. We were only a short drive to Denbigh which is a lovely historical town. All together we had a really enjoyable stay at Pennant and would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to our friends and family.

  • "The only problem was the parking."

Garage is only suitable for small car..no others parking at property have to park in pub car park..which means a walk up hill..not suitable for disabled people

  • "The cottage is beautiful - has all the fixtures and fitting you need for a holiday and the location for touring North Wales is excellent, however parking can be a issue if you have a car which is too big to fit in the garage (we have an Insignia and it was about 6 inches too long)."

Due to access issues with the neighbouring property you cannot leave your car at the front of the property, instead you have to park in the pub car park which is only a short distance away, however its down a quite steep short hill... This wont be a problem for most people, however if your driver is of limited mobility then they may find walking back up the hill an issue. Like I said the cottage itself is lovely and Claire is very inobtrusive and helpful.

About the location

HENLLAN

Denbigh 2.5 miles; St Asaph 5 miles.

The small North Wales village of Henllan is situated between Denbigh and the Diamond Jubilee City of St Asaph. The village offers a shop/Post Office and a pub, which serves good food. St Asaph was awarded city status in 2012 and is best known for its magnificent white cathedral. In September, the city comes alive with the arrival of the North Wales International Music festival, which takes place across numerous locations, culminating for the last few years in a television finale, broadcast from the cathedral. Nearby Denbigh dates back to the 11th century and boasts the remains of a 13th century castle, perched on a steep hill above the town, with its stunning castle walls walk and commanding some superb views over the surrounding countryside. The town is seeped in Welsh culture and boasts itself as the home of many Welsh literary giants, including 17th century poet and author, Twm o’r Nant, famous for performing his light-hearted ‘anterliwtiau’ interludes or short plays in the area, famous 19th century printer Thomas Gee who established the well-known Gee Press works in the town, and more recently home of the ‘queen of our literature’, Kate Roberts. Denbigh is a busy little town, with a variety of shops and pubs, and a number of events including walking festivals, beer festivals, the Denbigh and Flint Annual Show, the Clay Art Potters Market and a monthly People's market. Henllan is a superb touring base for discovering the sights and history of the Clwydian Range’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, plus the stunning lakes of Llyn Brenig and Llyn Alwen, a haven for cycling, mountain biking, walking and fishing in North Wales. You are also within easy reach of Conwy, Llandudno, Snowdonia, Angelsey and Chester.
