  • "It was a lovely homely apartment with everything you need & we had a lovely weeks holiday spoilt by a mouse that appeared from the washing machine area in kitchen then it somehow got into the bedroom going under the double bed we were in at the time on our last night & we ended up checking out at 8."

15 because the mouse was still hiding behind the chest of drawers in bedroom rather than check out at 10am

Regretable incident although my daughter in law and myself went into the prop at 10 am We had to split the beds into twins and hoovered underneath no mouse no droppings we cleaned the whole of the property but did not see any evidence of a mouse ! The bedroom door leads to the garden and the incident may have just happened if the door had been left open . Apologies but beyond our control and you should have notified us before the next guest arrived at 2 pm on the same day They have left a glowing review and obviously did not see a mouse during their stay ! Notices in the folder ask for you to contact the caretaker immediately You unfortunately did not Patricia Property Owner

  • "Rubbish bins blocking fire escape exit Kitchen mat curled at one end (Trippped over it ) No kicthen scissors Loose electrcal point for toaster Kitchen taps plummed wrong way round ( really annoying ) No towels provided as listed ( only tea towels ) No small waste bins in bedroom , conservatory or sitting room Bedroom junked up with childs ride on toy, airer, ironing board and vacuum cleaner."

Should all be in a storage cupboard. No hot water from evening on 15th and 16th .Unable to bath or shower before we left We would definitely not book this accommodation again

If there is a problem with anything most guests usually ring the caretaker for assistance on the day it happens and not on their departure day ( as other guests arrive that afternoon and had we not had an emergency 2 nd boiler would have been very annoying for them) Boiler had locked down but had you rang us (we do have a second boiler for emergency )and we live nearby we would have come immediately to turn 2 nd boiler on for you (Apartment has no broom cupboard or waste bin )never had this complaint in 10 years Bins in kitchen and bathroom As the bedroom size is large than normal ( the hoover , airer and ironing board were well tucked away at the side of the wardrobe )very strong to say junked up ! Sykes literature should have informed you we do not provided towels (since Covid ) We would have replaced the kitchen mat if you had notified me immediately .and scissors . If we are not informed of any problems until after you have left it is not possible to rectify things for you . There are signs everywhere with two phone numbers to contact us . .As to the bins I will ask the cleaner to put them a little further along the fence We are sorry that you had issues that could have been rectified easily had you contacted us but chose not to ,then I am sorry that it spoilt your stay since the property opened I have had exceptionally good reviews and guest book comments , in fact I have a lot of previous guests returning more than twice a year . That speaks for itself ! Property Owner

  • "A lovely little apartment for two or perhaps a couple with a young child."

Great location close to the beach with the town a 15 minute walk away. Plenty of local beaches to visit as well as a couple of castles and plenty of options for food nearby. Very friendly and helpful owners who are happy to deal with any problems and good WiFi too. I would highly recommend this holiday let.

Close to beach and 2 pubs serving good food at a reasonable price, yet very quiet and secluded.

  • "Was expecting towels to be provided as the website said they were included in the rent."

Fortunately the owner lent us some otherwise we would have had to buy some. Apart from that we had a lovely holiday again.
