  • "We had a lovely time but noticed some things were dusty and even a little mould."

I put this down to it being the end of the season. Very well equipped but a little more information about the heating would have been good. The living area being upstairs was great with lovely views.

  • "The bottom floor and back bedroom had a very strong musty smell when we arrived."

Upon inspection we found that the bedroom contained lots of black mould in various places. This made it unusable and unsafe for the baby especially, with us having to locate his cot in the hallway for the week. We had to use a whole bottle of fabreze and open the windows to try and freshen the place up during our stay. The cushions on the sofa also had a very strong fishy odour so had to be moved out the way. The highchair we were handed the next day had been stored in the garage for some time and was also covered in black mould, so would highly recommend bringing your own highchair and cot along with you for your stay.

We are surprised and disappointed to hear your comments. When you called at the beginning of the week and asked for a high chair and I asked if everything at the house was ok, you advised that it was “spot on”. We appreciate that the high chair had been stored in the garage and has not previously been requested so it is not ideal. We have now removed this item from the available inventory at Courtlands. Regards the other points you mention, we have worked closely with our Housekeeping team who could not find any problems and have rectified a couple of small marks on the wall in the second bedroom. We can reassure you there are no issues. If you had let Housekeeping know during your stay, they would have come out to see and rectify any issues you had. Property Owner

  • "Great property, love the upside down arrangement which meant that you had the balcony straight off the main living area."

Loads of light pouring in throughout the day. Could do with larger towels but otherwise well maintained and provisioned. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms too with hangers, thank you. We used some of the games but a bottle of wine or a nice cake would have been nice to have? Well placed for a 10 minute walk to the beach down hill with a lovely cafe looking right over the beach.

  • "We met the cleaner on the way out she was really lovely."

But the property isn’t clean I’m afraid . Tea/drink stains on the bedroom furniture, cob webs and dust in a lot of places. It’s not been properly cleaned for a while. The double bed in the larger room was very uncomfortable as it’s on a sort of cupboard base. We really liked the property and with a bit of TLC it could be really good, it’s shame. We also felt for over £200 a night it should of had Netflix.

Beach, pub and shop all stone throw walking distance away. Abersoch and Pwllheli short drive. Tremfan Hall worth a visit for dinner and Sunday lunch. House like home from home. Equipped with all the needs. Clean, warm and welcoming. Would recommend and stay again.

  • "The cottage was really comfortable and well equipped."

It was a short walk, about 15 minutes to the beach, and there is a handy beach bar selling food and drinks. The 2 pubs in the village, the Glynn y Weddw arms is about 3 minutes walk through a path at the side of the cemetery. The Ship Inn serves very good food and is about 15 minutes walk and dog friendly.

  • "Very comfortable stay in a well equipped home."

The hosts have thought of everything to ensure our stay was perfect, thank you. The house is close to local amenities and a short walk to the beach and places to eat and drink. It’s in a great location to be able to explore the wider area easily.

Great location - short walk to spar and Glyn Pub. (no dogs inside but catered for outside, water bowls & Heaters) 10 minutes from great beach & restaurant.
