  • "Amazing property, great location."

My children loved the cinema room. We had three generations staying , the downstairs bedroom great addition. Your home is well equipped, with the benefit of off street parking . We love Llandudno, for anyone visiting - You can reach the Tram in 5 mins to take you the top of the Orme, walk 5 mins more the amazing pier . If you want to eat out, Recommend Bengal Dynasty, Cottage Loaf and The Albert . If you like to walk head towards the west shore amazing views or even take the road train round the Orme which was running while we were there. Tan Tabin is amazing property to stay and will definitely be back. Michael

We had warm weather and some sunshine too. The location of the house is fantastic. Down on to the promenade within minutes or up into the delights of Great Orm easily too. The tram station is less than 5 minutes walk. Some of our group saw Peregine Falcons and some choughs one evening before sunset. There are great places to eat locally including Signatures restaurant at Aberconwy. They cook the best food ever. We had a great Sunday lunch there. Plus The Cottage Loaf in the centre of Llandudno and Da Venezia Italian restaurant. The house has lots of space and lots of bathrooms. Lovely welcome pack. Many thanks. We will be returning.

The house was very spacious and probably the best equipped one that we have ever rented. It was in an ideal location with everything on our doorstep. The children particularly enjoyed relaxing in the cinema room. We loved the quirky decoration in the courtyard! It was our first visit to this area and we were not disappointed. We were lucky with the weather and were sad to say goodbye on the last day. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting Llandudno with a larger group.

  • "This is a lovely character property in an excellent location with beautiful views."

It’s always nice to get a welcome pack ( Prosecco, chocs and crisps) It’s brilliant for a get together we had 9 adults a four year old and a7 month old ( high chair provided) no pets with us. There is a well stocked good kitchen to cook and a huge fridge /freezer. Access from the kitchen to the courtyard with outdoor furniture but the weather wasn’t warm enough to sit out . We were going to the theatre on the Saturday but we spent a lot of time in the cosy lounge with lots of comfy settees , TV and plenty of games. Two bedrooms are not en-suite but we allocated exclusive use of the family bathroom to those rooms . My only negative comments would be that some quilts /pillows need updating with the bed linen it’s a bit tired . But would recommend this lovely house with a very helpful owner who dealt with one issue very efficiently .

Thank you for the positive feedback, we always welcome helpful comments and will address the issues. Property Owner

The only feedback is they needs to be some curtains in the bedrooms as the blinds don't block any light out especially when the security lights were coming on during the night. Also some of the doors are difficult to close or don't shut at all.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback, I was unaware of some doors not closing properly thank you for bringing that to my attention, we are in the process of adding extra curtains to the back of the property when the property is vacant. Great kitchen and outdoor spaces. Owner very responsive. Great having the cinema room but not many TV channels (only freeview channels) through Sky package and not allowed to plug in external devices. Also would massively benefit from additional curtains/ blackout blinds in all bedrooms, so glad we didn’t stay in the middle of summer when this would have been an even bigger problem. Steep steps up to the property as stated in description but this gave amazing views. Great part of Llandudno to stay in, close to amenities, beaches, walks up the Orme, tramway and toboggan/ski slope. Great having the parking spots

The house is very impressive and well stocked of book and games incase the weather isn't the best. The rooms are nice and spacious and clean. The owners live close by and are really reactive if you have any questions. As the previous family had left early we was allowed a early check in that we really appreciated especially as we had elderly grandparents with us. Thanks for a great stay.

  • "The house is very spacious and in a great location to explore North Wales."

Llandudno town centre and the pier are a short walk away which is great if you want to eat out or go for a drink. The cinema room was great to catch up on The Ashes, F1 and even a film one evening. A separate lounge then allows you to watch TV or play games if your group don’t all want to do the same thing. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped for a large group. Unfortunately our weather didn’t allow us to use the outdoor seating areas very much but I’m sure they would be perfect on a better day. I am happy for you to include the above as a review. We really enjoyed our stay and the following comments are therefore not meant to be as a criticism but just constructive feedback that you have asked for. The only minor niggle was the lack of curtains in some of the bedrooms. Ideally all bedroom windows should have black out style curtains. Blinds are great for privacy but in summer when it’s light at 4am it makes it very difficult to get a good lie in when you really need it on holiday. We had to go hunting round town for eye masks to help us. Some rooms even look to have the tracks up so maybe the curtains have been taken down for some reason. Use of the top floor rooms would attract a bigger audience, particularly if they are en-suite. We stayed at Plas Madoc further along the road last year as a bigger group and chose Tan Tabin as there were fewer of us this time. Next year with a couple more people we would need at least another bathroom which would take Tan Tabin out of the equation as it stands.

We appreciate your positive comments and shall look into installing more curtains. Thank you for taking the time to give feedback it's uplifting when guests enjoy the house. Property Owner

  • "For the price paid quite disappointed and expected better, although location was great for prom and pier."

The property would benefit from basic facilities being provided, hand wash in bathrooms and washing liquid in kitchen. Toilet seat too small in one en-suite and one loose in another. Garden maintenance needed in front as weeds were high plus parasol needed to make front area accessible when very hot especially as we had elderly parents with us. The kitchen fridge was not pleasant and had a awful stale water smell. 2 Bedroom bins not emptied so had last customers waste. Bathrooms were clean plus kitchen, and movie room was a great asset. Owners have been made aware

Thank you, we appreciate feedback, we do our upmost to provide a lovely holiday destination that most people enjoy. We provide all cleaning products, plus dish liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet roll and hand sanitizer in communal areas plus a welcome pack. The Toilet seats have been tightened, if you had contacted me I would have gladly rectified, plus emptied the bin of hair grip and checked fridge. The fridge is cleaned along with kitchen so that was puzzling, apologies. Unfortunately goats are local to Llandudno and regulary chomp through the garden. We do have many wild flowers, aquilegia and shrubs, we've never received complaints regarding sunshine or garden, patio furniture a good selection is provided, parasol in court yard. We're pleased you enjoyed your stay at Tantabin be a couple of minor issues. Unfortunately because you arrived on the Friday for 3 night break, Sykes had increased your price as your stay stretched into 2 weeks, this is not something we have control of, arriving Saturday your price would have been greatly reduced. It’s truly a home from home, with excellent facilities - in a prime location. Trouble free & ample parking is a bonus, as it can be quiet difficult to park at other rentals in Llandudno. The North & West Shore are almost of equal distance from the house, and with a view of both to boot…what’s not to like. The owners of the property live next door should anything go wrong. We had a small issue which was dealt with almost immediately. Which gave us the opportunity to meet the delightful Tracy & Andrew. So all in all it’s a place we would highly recommend, although by doing so…we’ll have to work much harder to secure the dates for our next stay.

Owner stated only two dogs allowed even though Sykes informed me it was ok for three dogs and had been checked with owner prior to me booking house. Not enough loo rolls, dishwasher tablets and black sacks. Didn’t expect to have to buy these with the amount that I had paid for house. 7 dishwasher tablets for a house of 14 not enough. Hot tub was cloudy despite owner checking it. Also foamed up a lot making it hard to keep the air jets on. So a few niggles but a great house.

Thank you for your comments, feedback is important. Tantabin Holiday House provides a starter pack for guests on arrival: dishwasher tablets, bin bags, toilet rolls in each of the W/Cs, kitchen cleaning products, hand wash, tea bags, sugar a selection of various condiments. Also a welcome pack. Sykes did mentioned 3 small dogs. The hot tub was, drained, cleaned, sanitizers, PH checked on your arrival. The toddlers playing in the hot tub had food bowls, one bowl I found lodged under the filter cover, the hot tub filtering system had been impaired by the bowl and food, I did explain this to you at the time and you apologised. I cleaned the filters, corrected PH levels, bromine levels and filtered out the debris . Unfortunately food etc will contaminate the water, but all the PH, sanitizer levels I corrected. Multiple rooms for kids/adults to spread out in and reception rooms large enough for us all in the evenings when everyone wanted to be together. Welcome tray was a lovely touch, thank you. I met one of the owners Tracey (who’s father lives next door), who told me it was once their family home ,and renovated and looked after by herself, brother and a friend Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again

.dont hesitate...DO IT!! We have just had the best 2 days there. Couldnt fault a thing.. every last little detail is thought of. All of the quirky art work is what makes this house so different. Rooms are spacious and beds are super comfy. The hot tub & cinema room was our personal faves. Young and old had a ball.. ideal spot for a walk to the front. The views from the top bedroom...amazing!! Watched the sunrise from bed. Was gutted to be leaving yesterday. Thanks again guys..your house is amazing!!

  • "Just come back from a wonderful stay at the tantabin."

A group of us went with our dogs and we had the best week stay. The house is in the perfect location and has some lovely views from the bedroom windows. The house it’s self is wonderful, each room is perfect. The owners have definitely thought of every little detail as we was in need of nothing. There is a car park that fits at least 5 cars which is really handy, there’s a lovely front lawn with seating area. The back yard is so nice with a bbq if it’s nice weather and a lovely hot tub which was checked regularly! There are as enough fresh towels for everyone, there was even beach towels for when you used the hot tub and plastic glasses if you would like to have a drink in the hot tub. I would highly recommend this to any one, it was a really lovely stay and I hope to return some time soon!

  • "At the end of our week stay in this wonderful home."

Has been perfect. Bedrooms spacious and clean with ample storage. Bathrooms and en-suites were modern and clean. Kitchen/ dining room was well equipped and more than enough to cater for the 18 of us. Lounge spacious, tv room fantastic with projector and drop down screen. Decor is amazing with graffiti style walls around the house and outside by the hot tub. The house was even decorated for Christmas. Such attention to detail. Everyone loved their stay here including our dog. Was worth every penny and would definitely recommend this house. Close to the town centre and both shores. We didn’t have to use the car all week. Lots of parking space. I could go on

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
