  • "Such a comfortable and well-equipped cottage in peaceful and beautiful surroundings but with extremely easy access to a great many places to visit."

Great to have the extensive folder of copies of local walks provided in the cottage by the owners. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday!

  • "Excellent location for exploring Eryri but also lots to do locally in and around the very pretty village."

Perfect for keen walkers! The cottage was lovely, comfortable and well equipped, parking isn’t an issue as the church car park is very close. Listing could be clearer about expectations around dogs - information in the cottage said that they weren’t allowed on the furniture or upstairs and that they weren’t to toilet in the garden area! Washing machine is a bonus but nothing is provided to dry washing!

Thank you for your feedback, so pleased you had a great stay, we will look to update our listing re dogs on the sykes website. Property Owner

  • "A quaint little cottage that was a perfect base for our week long stay in this lovely part of North Wales."

The information folders were really helpful, especially in relation to the recycling requirements. Parking is a ‘challenge’ so be prepared for not being able to park directly outside the property. There is space by the local church with an honesty box that we used. Very friendly local pub, but food not available every day. Great communication from the owners so no problems finding the property or the keys. Thank you for a lovely time - so much better than a hotel.

  • "On arrival nowhere to park ."

It does say first come first served .Not lying !.Not really dog friendly! No front garden ,back door opens straight away looking into next doors yard about a foot wide ,no privacy ,up to a small paved area. Cottage ok basic ,washing machine ,no clothes line to dry ! Carpet at top of stairs not in runner ,could trip .Front door needs adjustment,as needs slamming to close .Next door say it’s been like it for some time ,and has happened in the past.Owner needs to address issues ,heated towel rail not working, probably a fuse issue .Just needs paint work repairs and fence at front repainting etc .Could be a pleasant cottage

Hi Catherine, Thank you for your feedback I am sorry the stay did not meet your expectations. We clearly note on our webpage that parking is on a first come first served basis, so unfortunately, I am not sure what else we can do re this. We have addressed the maintenance issues you raised re the door and stair tread. We are going to re decorate the entire first floor in November and outdoor areas. I will review the other areas you raised as a matter of urgency and make changes where possible. Once again thank you for your feedback, it has been useful helping us ensure that our cottage is a great choice for our customers. kind regards Property Owner

Lovely cottage with a well equipped kitchen. Sofas were perhaps a little tired, but the bathroom more than made up for this! Very clean and appreciated the welcome pack very much. Friendly neighbours too! Would definitely stay again.

  • "It was a really great stay!"

Exactly as described on the listing, lovely place. Really easy checking in and out and the owners left lots of information for us regarding walks in the area and important information about the property. Was lovely and clean, however maybe not for those with pet allergies as the property still had dog hairs on the floors when we arrived and although I did hoover around, we still seemed to find them throughout our stay - we didn't mind as we come from a pet household but maybe something for those with allergies to be aware of. The beds were extremely comfortable and the whole property itself had all of the amenities we needed. Plenty of space for 2 people. It was a bit chilly when we arrived and there is a seemingly complex heating system which the welcome book advised us not to adjust as it was 'set at optimum efficiency' and we didn't dare use the log burner as the instructions looked quite complex and we were worried we'd do something one so it just meant we had to wear a few layers in the property. The bedroom heaters are easy enough to use though so that was fine. The property is located in a lovely quiet area but within driving distance of lots of great things to do. The weather was not on our side but we had a fantastic time and the internet in the property was great for those rainy days in! We would have loved to have used the outdoor terrace but the weather did not allow. I think it might have felt a bit awkward sitting out there though as it is very much overlooked by next door so not very private. We didn't need anything or have any issues during our stay so I cannot vouch for the owners but they seemed very accessible by email and phone and left a lovely welcome hamper which was a nice gesture. Overall a really pleasant stay and we would definitely stay here again!
