  • "Faultless. Great communication from the owner prior to the start of our holiday."

Thank you for the very generous welcome pack. Property was very clean and comfortable with absolutely everything needed for a quiet, family, self catering holiday. The area surrounding the property was beautiful and we saw and heard a variety of wildlife.

The size of the house and each room is large so you don't feel cramped and the garden is lovely and safe for dogs and children. Very peaceful location but not 'in the middle of nowhere '.

  • "What a lovely, comfy, spacious property everything you needed was there including a very nice welcome pack."

The property was very secluded and quiet which was lovely to come back to after a busy day exploring, downside there was no nearby footpaths to use or none that we could find which meant if you wanted to walk you had to use the very narrow roads which were generally very quiet. Nearest pub you wouldn't want to walk to also it doesn't do food. It was lovely to hear the cows and sheep nearby and listen to the owls at night. If you want quiet and secluded then this property is for you. Would we comeback? Yes definitely it was perfect

Well maintained and in a quiet rural location. If you like peace and quiet in the countryside this is ideal. Each day we sat having coffee outside listening to birds and owls in the evening. Great week

  • "A beautiful place to stay, such a peaceful location."

The property is amazing. Spacious, well furnished and equipped. Beds very comfortable. Owners very helpful and responsive. We had a problem with ensuite shower, it was replaced. My only comment would be a larger saucepan (for cooking pasta)and maybe casserole dish for stove top to oven that caters for 6. But loved the property, would definitely come back. Criccieth, coastal walk around Abersoch and Portmeirion a must.

  • "This was our second visit to Prys Mawr and we have been very happy there, this was until we received a call halfway through our holiday saying we could no longer charge our electric car."

With very little public charging in North Wales this is likely to mean we cannot visit again. We are very disappointed, this is such a shame, the house itself is perfect for our needs and had hoped to become regular visitors. The car was charging at 2KW per hour, exactly as it does outside our own home (this is equivalent to a normal domestic electric heater) but we were told it was a fire risk. Perhaps the owners would consider installing an exterior plug socket to alleviate this? as the number of electric cars is increasing rapidly across the country.

  • "Comfortable modern cottage set in a quiet location but close enough to beaches, castles, mountains and riverside walking to name just the start of what the area has to offer."

A generous welcome pack was waiting for us and was greatly appreciated after our long journey. We had a lovely time, the weather was mainly warm and quite sunny for October so we went out somewhere different every day. The only slight niggle was a smell of oil from the central heating which was quite noticeable at times but we got used to over the week.

Only tiny 'problem', we didn't have the skylight window opener so we couldn't open the skylights and we stayed on the hottest week of the year, so over nights were unbearably hot and could have been much better with them open.

Absolutely beautiful, scenic and cosy. Cottage appears to have gone through a thorough make over, done to the highest standards. Very good gesture by the owner by leaving us a welcome hamper with stuffs to get you started. Couple of issues though; water doesn't drain away quickly from both tha bathrooms and we found lumps of hair left in the bedrooms, the cleaning staff must have missed it. But overall these can be forgotten because the cottage is located in a lovely spot and is very good. Thank you.

  • "I can most definitely recommend this property."

The location is close to several towns but far enough away to be very peaceful. The furnishings are modern and comfortable and the house is exceptionally well kitted out. The mattresses were all good quality and extremely comfortable. The box of Welsh goodies on arrival was a lovely surprise and meant we didn't have to rush out to the shops. I would be very happy to return here. I have only given 4 stars because (and I am being very picky now) there are a few things that could be improved to make it a 5 star rental. Firstly, during our stay the broadband speed was less than 1MB. The owners tried all they could to resolve the issue but it required an engineer visit. This was due to happen the following week, so if you do need broadband during your stay then it would be worth checking with the owners first to make sure this has happened. Secondly the garden furniture is not particularly comfortable for lounging in. There is a bench and a picnic table but the property will benefit from some deck chairs or loungers. Finally, there is a really good sized garden space, plenty of room for dogs to run around, but the garden feels like it has not been cared for, it would be so beautiful if the stone walls and fences were cleared of brambles and there were some plants added to make it brighter and more inviting.

Clean and comfortable and all the amenities and more in the kitchen. Wi fi router was a casualty of the lightning but the owner brought us a new one after a day. Bit worried about the bins as no information in booklet about what day they were collected so not able to put them out. Also owner informed us no towels were supplied and check out was 9am instead of 10am and this was not on Sykes information booklet.

Eventually I received a telephone call from you when I explained the reduction in the advertised cost of £200 compared with that which I paid when booking last January.
