  • "Lovely property and location near to beach, shops, and eateries."

We had no issues with the redevelopment taking place next door during our stay, and enjoyed using the garden. The only suggestion is it would have been nice for there to have been a hand towel for ever guest plus one extra for the kitchen. Had a lovely relaxing stay and had great fun watching the planes coming in and out of the airfield.

  • "Mixed feelings!"

We were very much looking forward to our stay at Lake view in July, however we received notification a few weeks before our stay (via sykes) that there were significant building works being undertaken next door. Reading current reviews we immediately had concerns that our holiday would not be the relaxing time we had anticipated and asked to change our booking. This request was refused and a discount offered instead. We declined the discount as our concerns were centered around enjoyability rather than cost. On arrival the House was welcoming with plenty of space for our family and more than comfortable. However we were awoken at 7.30am the following morning (saturday)with the arrival of the builders and heavy machinery. This continued throughout our stay. The garden was a good size with lovely views across the lake and we were able to watch the aircraft practicing at the nearby airbase. However there is no privacy between next door and we did not feel comfortable using the space whilst workmen on site. Overall the house is well located for the village and minutes walk from the beach. It was comfortable and we are sure if we had visited at another time the holiday would have been perfect. Perhaps the option to move our holiday until later dates would have been a good compromise!

  • "This is our second visit to Lake View Cottage."

Lovely view and close to beach and local amenities. The interior of the bungalow is well maintained and reasonably comfortable, except the sofas! We were disappointed with the outdoor rusty dining chairs, well past their use by date and the patio area is not being maintained. We contacted the owner to voice our concern during our stay but nothing happened. I also left a note for the cleaners to defrost the freezer as 2 drawers were inaccessible. The builders arrived next door as we were leaving

  • "Lovely house, beautiful open plan lounge/diner/kitchen."

Gorgeous views and very peaceful. Love the area very chilled and nice vibe. We had reservations about our booking as it was noted to us that building works were taking place next door ( this information was not on the website when we booked ) However, whilst there no works were being done as the house had been completely demolished and obviously awaiting for the works to re-start. Just a couple of things that would improve future guest's visits - blinds up in the main front bedroom for privacy and replace the garden chairs they were rusty. Definitely will return.

Our only disappointment was the house next door was being demolished,as you can imagine the noise etc we couldn’t make use of the garden and on days that you didn’t want to go anywhere you just had to. This wasn’t how o imagined our 20th anniversary

  • "Disappointing that such a property did not have a BBQ."

The two settee’s were the most uncomfortable we have ever experienced. No washing pods for the washing machine. The dishwasher tablet door would not stay closed. Otherwise a good property but very poor value for money. All the garden furniture was tired and rusty.

  • "Extensive renovations ongoing in adjacent bungalow meaning builders were there all day with the associated noise and lack of privacy in both the garden and lounge."

An Asbestos removal operation took place for the full 4 days of our holiday with 8 operatives on site together with noise from the negative pressure air extraction unit going until late at night each day. We were unable to use the garden for safety reasons. It was far from a peaceful and relaxing holiday and will be like that for quite sometime. Dissapointing that the owners still rented the bungalow out with this hazardous operation going on putting profit before safety.

Such a relaxing place to stay and has everything you could need, comfy beds, huge TV, big stylish kitchen and the added bonus of a utility room. Rhosneigr is a lovely place, the beaches are a great place to walk the dogs and there's lots of places to eat. And it has a brilliant fish and chip shop and takeaway pizza shop. A perfect holiday

However in the 2nd double bedroom one of the wardrobe doors laminate is lose and we were unable to use. The sofas are uncomfortable to sit on as the cushions were constantly sliding off. The cottage looked surface clean but on closer inspection the air vents were full of dust and so was the cooker hood. The master bedroom smelt of wet dog and it wasn’t ours because he slept in the dining area. The carpets could do with a proper clean. The table and chairs outside are unable to be used to eat off as they are going rusty. As much as we enjoyed our stay we would not return to this cottage.

Excellent location and very well equipped cottage and very quiet. You do get planes flying in to RAF Valley which is quite noisy in the day but we loved watching them fly in and out. Only gripe which I suppose is personal preference is the mattresses were way too soft for us.

Rhosneigr itself is a delight with lots to do if you like beaches and walking. Good eateries too. Had a lovely stay, if anything the beds a little soft for us, but that is personal choice and for a weeks stay was fine. Would certainly be happy to stay here again.

  • "Great bungalow."

Great location. Would recommend. Would have given top marks but unable to because of the following. 1. Garden needs better dining furniture. We had great weather and wanted to eat all fresco but one tiny wrought iron table was totally inadequate. 2. Bed linen in smaller double bedroom was of the wrong size causing the duvet to be bunches up and uncomfortable. Very hot. Also caused the mattress to buckle. It was very unsatisfactory for two adults sleeping. 2. The telephone numbers provided for the owners/landlords were out of date and because we needed to contact them it caused a great deal of inconvenience and delayed the return of an item we had left behind. Not lost. Just left behind. All that being said, we had a good time but it could be improved if the above is rectified.

The property is well equipped and the large TV is something you don’t usually get in rental properties. We travelled all around Anglesey and found that Rhosneigr was the absolute best location. Two huge beaches only a five minute walk from the cottage plus numerous places to eat, including two very good restaurants, a chip shop and a pizza shop. We also enjoyed the circular walk around the lake - takes about an hour but an easy walk.

Chest of draws in main bedroom acted as dressing table but had to stand up which wasn’t an issue. Beach is brilliant even when tide is in. Local shop has everything you need and not too pricey. Mojo’s and fish & chips are a must to visit. Oyster catcher is great for sitting outside with your four legged friend after a walk along the beach and sand dunes. Did smell of previous dog but fabreze soon sorted that out, would have been nice if those cleaning products had been provided. WiFi was slow when 4 people using - one on an Xbox! Had a brilliant stay and we will definitely be going back to Rhosneigr.

The house is stunning and the beds are really comfy. The kitchen is really well equipped and even had cleaning items provided. The garden is lovely and the views are beautiful. The village and beach are a 5 minute walk away. Sandy Mount was a firm favourite. One small issue is there’s nowhere to sit when getting ready in the bedroom. Perhaps a small stool so hair and make-up could be done using the large window sill? We would love to return but it’s already booked up all summer. Thank you
