  • "Had a lovely week staying at Harbour Lights."

Ample, enclosed decking area and safe, enclosed garden which was our main priority for our 8 month old puppy's first holiday. Very peaceful area and lovely views. Comfortable beds, clean and everything you need. Only a couple of minor suggestions....could do with some sharper knives for eating chops/steak etc and, I personally, found the TV too small to comfortably watch as my eyesight is not the greatest. Minor issues really.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Harbour Lights and it was a good basic base for exploring Anglesey."

Whilst the bathroom was spotlessly clean the rest of the house was in need of a good scrub. If you moved furniture, the dust and dirt was evident. I had to clean the drawers in the main bedroom before unpacking as there was hair and bits of fluff in them. The oven was only just clean enough to use and the oven trays all needed replacing as old and rusty. The kitchen had most things but some bigger bowls would have been helpful, especially if you wanted to put anything in the microwave. All in all a good stay but just needed a little bit more time spent on cleaning.

  • "Harbour Lights is a lovely little cottage that is presented to a high standard."

The beds are probably the best we've ever stayed in, some morning it's was a tough decision whether to get up. It was great to have a sea view to sit and look at to with a coffee or dinner of an evening, looking out to Holyhead and watching each ferry come and go. Outside the decking is large and spacious and thata before even entering the lawn which again is large...CAUTION: there are some dips and holes in the lawn that you should be careful of. Whilst for us it created some rumbling amusement it may not for someone else. The only downside for us was outside lighting. Coming in of an evening it was pitch black in the driveway. The solar lights did not work. At the rear the flame style solar lanterns were a nice touch but produced no light. There are so solar lights but they were dependent on nice weather to 'charge them'. The guest book did mention about previous fixed lighting that the owners had an issue with because of the Irish sea. My opinion would be to try again! All in all a great stay regardless of the weather and a lovely little cottage.

Well appointed cottage with everything you need, beds are a bit small/snug but otherwise very comfortable. Excellent lawned garden and deck to enjoy the sea views and sunshine. Our kids loved playing in the garden as did our dog, especially seeing the rabbits! Rest garden is enclosed and safe. Short walk to Church Bay beach and the fab Wavecrest cafe for amazing scones and The Lobster Pot for excellent sea food - both dog friendly. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The interior of the property was clean and decorated beautifully with the beds being warm and comfortable. The south facing decking at the back along with the large, spacious garden provided the perfect area to enjoy the sun, play games and relax with family whilst admiring the picturesque scenery. Communications from the owner Chris were excellent prior to our arrival and whilst there, Chris was more than happy to help with anything we asked. On our arrival the cottage was lovely and warm, with a Christmas tree and some decorations up... there was also a few wrapped presents left under the tree for us, which both us and the dogs appreciated - a very nice touch. The local pub 'Church Bay Inn' was little bit odd (in our opinion) so we ended up going to the Gwesty Holland Hotel in Llanfachraeth, which was very welcoming. We had booked into the local restaurant 'The Lobster Pot' for our Anniversary on the 29th, but it was cancelled by them as they were short staffed due to covid... So booked in at the Oyster Catcher in Rhosneigr, which I can highly recommend. We had a great time and would definetly go back to this cosy, very clean cottage again.
