  Everything you need is provided . The bathroom is an engineering marvel on how you can fit it all in such a small space. The most amazing shop across the road with everything you could possibly need. Highly recommended.

• "This was our third visit to this wonderful cottage excellent location with parking, with pubs and restaurants less than a 2 minute walk and a butchers across the road where you can get pretty much everything and the most amazing pies and sausage rolls."

  Lovely lakes within walking distance makes it an ideal base if you don't want to go out in the car everyday. Everything in the cottage is well thought out and cosy and everything you need to make it a home from home holiday. Do not be put off by previous reviews of the bathroom as long as you don't have mobility problems it's absolutely fine.

• "This cottage a credit to Andrew and Nicola ,we did not want for nothing , we only used the double bedroom but great quality mattress and bedding ."

  The kitchen was well equipped , like home from home really . Really well set out and comfortable lounge to relax in the evening , and although the bathroom is compact I had several baths no problem and I am six foot . This is one of the best rental cottages we have stopped in and we go away every year , We will certainly be returning to this property . Many thanks Mark and Angela.

• "A bit of a late review as we stayed in September 23."

  The cottage is in a great location, really easy to get to. There’s 2 fantastic pubs within a few minutes walk and a butchers opposite selling a good selection of bits, including fresh cooked pies & pastries. The parking was great, just a bit tight getting in and out but lots of room on the gravel driveway. The outdoor spaces are great. Inside is welcoming, comfortable and clean. Small bathroom and kitchen, but that’s obvious from the pictures/description and wasn’t an issue. We really enjoyed our stay and have booked to come back in a few weeks time.

• "This is a lovely little cottage, however the position of the bathroom right on the middle of the wooden staircase is VERY dangerous."

  We were all grown adults and had to take great care when entering/exiting the bathroom. I would hate to take children here. The bathroom itself was tiny. We were very lucky with the weather and had beautiful sunshine so a lovely fresh shower each day would have been nice but you couldn’t shower properly as you couldn’t stand up in there due to the low roofs and you couldn’t have a bath as the bath was tiny too. Just had to make do with very uncomfortable half bent over showers which splashed everywhere. The kitchen area was well equipped but we did miss not having a microwave!! The dining and living area was nice however there was a strong smell in the living room. Later in the week we realised the smell was from 2 throws that were in a basket in the corner which were filthy dirty and smelt of wet dogs. (We put these in the out cupboard). The village and local pubs were lovely we had some great food here. And the gardens were lovely and a great sun trap.

  We try with descriptions and photos to make it as clear as possible that there are access issues at the property. Whch can occur in a 200 year old cottage. We have discussed the cleaning with our cleaning team and the throws will be changed every week along with all bedding and towels. Property Owner

  Yes the bathroom and the kitchen are small but the rest of the property make up for this. It has a lovely homely feel and a wonderful outdoor space that you can enjoy. A lovely welcome pack is there to greet you and the owners were so helpful with anything we needed.

• "The cottage is delightful, and it has clearly received very thoughtful furnishings and decoration."

  I wouldn't be surprised to see it included in some designer magazines! The master bedroom in particular was a delight. I slept well there, even better than I do sometimes at home. As mentioned by others, the bathroom is a challenge. Having been forewarned, I took with me some old towels to mop the floor. Job done! The hosts were very welcoming and generous with some goodies left for us on our arrival. They were also very patient with a few issues I had (all completely my own fault) and helpful in guiding me through relevant instructions. And the location!! We could not have chosen a better base for our week, plus we were incredibly lucky with the weather. Just one tip. Look out for the peacocks

• "We had a wonderful few days at the cottage, it was ideally located and equipped for all of our needs and we all agreed it had a warm homely feel compared to other places we've stayed."

  Yes the bathroom is snug, but perfectly useable. Loved the decor of the whole house & outside area! Note the village pub, The Ship, doesn't allow dogs and the brasserie doesn't allow dogs or children, The Fairy Falls pub allows all!

• "The property is very quaint."

  The main bedroom window is unable to open so no fresh air can be let in due to being painted shut. I would say it’s strange not to have the tv beside the sofa so you can relax and chill with a movie at night. The tv is situated at the dinning table not comfortable to sit at. If you have a large car parking on the drive can be an issue. Kitchen and Bathroom are very small and difficult to access if you’re not physically able. Not much open around the area out of the season, although a lovely butchers and bakery over the road from the property.

• "The cottage was beautiful and very comfortable."

  Perfectly located for Snowdon & the beaches, and we loved walking up to the lakes. Using the little bathroom could be a bit awkward, but the shower hose was powerful and hot. Brilliant that there is parking & comfortable outside furniture. We had an incredible week!

• "A lovely little cottage which is ideally placed for touring/walks."

  Fully equipped with good quality utensils. Because of the nature of the building the cottage was always fairly cool which at times was great during the very hot spell when we arrived, but tended to be a bit cold by evening (July!!) necessitating an hour of central heating. One thing we did notice is that there is a large gap around the entry door which will probably cause a considerable drought/heat loss for autumn/winter visitors which would be simple to correct. The bathroom was as mentioned in write-up and for anyone much over 5’ will cause problems and for anyone (dare I say it) considerably overweight - forget it! The bath is very small more like a large tub, the sink is very tiny with a high pressure tap with very hot water, as it the handheld shower and it is this element which causes water to spray everywhere. We ended up leaving a paper kitchen roll in situ and buying our own bath mat which isn’t provided but avoided having to use the lovely towels provided which I’m sure most people will use for standing/mopping up. On a plus point due to the above it’s probably the cleanest bathroom , with good quality fittings which look new, in the whole village. Our son/wife visited for two nights and they loved it (apart from bathroom, he’s 6’ ) and it was great sitting outside on the very comfortable seats with a drink at night. Very quiet and peaceful with ample private parking for two cars.

• "The cottage has low doorways which I believe should be in description."

  Also the bathroom is so small. Not suitable for children. Cannot use as a shower as their is not enough height to be able to stand. Therefore had to have a sit up bath. However location is superb.

• "Lovely stay here."

  Clearly a lot of attention has gone into the refurbishment of this cottage. Nice welcome pack on our arrival. Great location too, enabled us to get out and explore, and make use of the nearby dog friendly Fairy Falls hotel for meals most evenings. Just wish we had more prior warning about the shared access of the driveway with the property to the rear. As well as the occupant of this property coming in and out , we had part of one day where we were blocked in when a large van came on the drive and move furniture in, and the same the following day when an occupant moved out. During this time we had to keep ourselves and our dog in the cottage.

  The neighbour only has access over the drive and not to park on the drive. I've discussed this with them as one owner was moving out and another moving in. Property Owner

• "Cute little cottage."

  Perfectly clean and ideally situated to visit many north wales attractions from Llandudno to snowdon. Couple of pubs near by too, just a few steps away. Kitchen is very tiny but as we like to eat out whilst away that wasn’t an issue. The bathroom is very tiny but manageable. Would recommend and would visit again.

• "Lovely little cottage in a great location for exploring Snowdonia."

  It had everything we needed as a family. The wifi worked well and Netflix was used a lot. We also made use of the log burner a couple of nights which really warmed the lounge nicely. Welcome pack had some lovely unexpected treats too.

• "Great welcome pack when you arrive, very thoughtful even dog treats."

  Nicely equipped kitchen, good size oven. I am diary and gluten intolerant so tend not to eat out so much, so it was great to see good cooking facilities. Only negative was that it was such a mission to open the front door that we only used it the once Had a superb holiday

  We recommend all guests use the side door (kitchen door) as its more convenient access from the parking area and to the outside seat area etc. We never use the front door. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  We also enjoyed the local walks and visiting the local attractions in The National Park Excellent location for exploring Snowdonia .We had a power cut during our stay due to the storms and the owners were very helpful .

• "A beautiful character cottage in the centre of Trefriw."

  It has been renovated to a very high standard and has everything you need and more. Spacious lounge/diner with cosy log burner. Loved the exposed beams and original stone lintel above the fireplace. Spacious bedrooms and comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is small but quirky - we had to fold up my 6 foot husband to get him in the bath!! :-) But it’s spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. Arriving on a cold December evening it was lovely to see the cottage lit up with Christmas decorations and a bottle of mulled wine waiting for us. The hosts had also thoughtfully left some treats for our dog. NB. For any dog owners - a 5 minute walk away, just beyond the Recreation Ground, is a free dog exercise field where they can have a good run around and poop bags/bins are provided. Cottage is also suitable for babies - we were travelling with our 5 month old - plenty of space for a travel cot in either bedroom. The property is in an ideal spot for exploring the local area and Trefriw is much more peaceful than nearby Betws y Coed. We were visiting for a christening at St Rhychwyn’s church in Llanrhychwyn - the oldest church in Wales and well worth a visit. We would definitely recommend this spot and would love to come back.

Bathroom was a little smaller than we expected but did the job, I would definitely stay here again and my dog loved it too, especially snuggling up in front of the log burner
