  • "We returned for our second holiday here."

Can't fault anything. The house is spacious and so close to the beach, just through a gate in back garden and only a few minutes walk to the beach. The beds are so comfy. A wonderful welcome hamper on arrival. We had another great holiday

Lovely to host returning guests and thank you SO much for taking the time to post your lovely review. The small WelshVillas team all work incredibly hard and are delighted when they receive such lovely comments, it really makes the difference and motivates better than anything - so thank you VERY much indeed.! • "We had a wonderful time staying at Beachside."

The house is spacious, the beds and rooms are comfortable and the location is amazing. Walk out the garden through the gate, 2 mins and you're on a beautiful beach. Excellent for evening kite flying and sunsets. We didn't have amazing weather unfortunately, but i'd imagine if you had a sunny week, you'd be on there all the time. The location of the house is great for day trips to pretty much anywhere in North Wales. Prestatyn town is small and quaint. Highly recommend Tu Mundo for breakfast, lunch and delicious cake.

We are delighted to receive another 100% score, thank you so much! Lovely comments too, special thanks for highlighting just how close and private that beach is, as it is so difficult for an advert to capture this. Thank you SO much! We are a small but incredibly passionate team and we love 100% scores and perfect review comments such as yours. It is incredibly helpful in keeping our small but dedicated team working their absolute hardest! You are of course, welcome back anytime! Property Owner

  • "Property was smaller than imagined."

As it sleeps 10 it would have been very cosy if all adults, especially the downstairs living space. Not suitable for a wheelchair user. No handrail on the stairs. No mirrors in bedrooms. Garden furniture has seen better days

Wow, what a strange (and incorrect!) review. Allow us to put this into perspective...The property is worth well over £300,000, detached, immaculate, bang up to date and in a unique location with secure dedicated beach access. It is 100% wheelchair friendly, other than the upstairs (obviously?), as the house is modern enough to have a flat wide entrance door and the downstairs bedroom and ensuite are purpose built for those with limited mobility (completely flat access). We have had MANY wheelchair users and those with needs in the property and never had anything other than appreciation and praise! Every ensuite, bathroom and WC have mirrors, how many do you need? Garden furniture works just fine and there is plenty of it (update 7/6/24 - the 1 unit that had signs of use has been replaced with a brand new unit (we really do take every little defect VERY seriously!). Staff are very disappointed with this review obviously as it is extremely inaccurate & can only do damage to our small business. We can prove beyond doubt this review is an exception & most definitely unusual, as the 5 star review and perfect 100% score just received (after this one!) confirms. Property Owner

Good location, close to the beach. Somewhat smaller than it appeared from the photos. Took us a while to figure out where the heating and hot water controls are. Nothing in the emails or printed file inside the house. Bathrooms and showers are great and were much appreciated by our extended family. House well designed and finished with many delightful little details to complement its seaside position. Had an issue with the smart TVs which made us careful to remove our amazon account before leaving. Couldn't get the Xbox to work again instructions would have been helpful. One member of our group is disabled but we took his trike and with assistance he could easily access the promenade which stretches for miles in both directions We had a lovely break in a nice house in a lovely location and lacked for nothing.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We’re thrilled to hear that the house’s design and amenities contributed to a memorable seaside getaway for your extended family. It’s wonderful to hear that the bathrooms, showers, and the home’s charming details were highlights of your stay. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced regarding the heating and hot water controls, as well as the smart TVs and Xbox. We appreciate your feedback and will ensure that instructions are created now and placed in the property. Your insights are invaluable to us, and we’re committed to making continuous improvements, in fact all rental monies received are completely reinvested. • "We stayed here in January this year and the house is great."

The house is really big, downstairs you have a living room, kitchen, dining room and conservatory. The living room is quite big and there is plenty of seating for everyone to sit down and socialise or maybe just watch a bit of TV. The dining room has an extending table which you can set up to suit your party, again giving plenty of seating for everyone. We found the conservatory great because there was another TV in here a games console, this was great for my boy because he loves video games, it also gives the kids somewhere to play. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a utlity room off this with a washer and dryer in it as well a downstairs toilet. There is also a ground floor bedroom and this also comes with an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs you have 4 good sized bedrooms, with the master having an en-suite. Outside there is a big garden which when we stayed had newly fitted artificial turf. There was quite a storm in January which caused some damage in the garden but I contacted the maintenance team and they were straight out the next day to rectify everything. There is also a gate from the back garden leading out to paths that lead up to the beach. Overall this was a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend. If you have a big family, like we do, it's great everyone had their own space and there was plenty of space for us all to get together too.

  • "Fantastic home with everything needed for a family."

We had a problem with the WiFi but the maintenance man came straight round to put it right. The only thing we found wrong was the heating came on at strange times! When we were sat inside in the evening and needed it on it was off but came on when everyone was in bed around 4am! Other than that a fantastic holiday home and we will definitely be booking again next year

Thank you for your kind words and feedback, staff are always delighted to receive a 100% score - it makes ALL the hard work worthwhile!! We're thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic stay with us. We appreciate your patience with the WiFi issue, and it's great to know that our maintenance team resolved it promptly. We'll certainly look into the heating timing issue, it is a strange one as the Hive system is usually spot on (perhaps it had something to do with the clocks going back). We can't wait to welcome you back next year for another enjoyable stay. Please feel free to reach out if you have any specific preferences for your next visit. Sincere thanks again for your fab feedback. In a VERY hard industry this truly motivates us to keep working as hard as possible to make unique, memorable holidays for all our guests :-) Property Owner

  • "This was a return visit to Beachside after our, most enjoyable, stay last year."

To attract us back is recommendation in itself. We are an extended family of 6 adults and four children aged between 4 and 12. The house is just big enough to be able to accommodate us all comfortably and is fully kitted out with everything we needed. It is situated in a quiet, new build, area within a 5 min drive from the centre of Prestatyn. By far the best thing about Beachside, however, is the proximity and easy access to the beach. Between Prestatyn ( easily walkable 15 min or so) and Rhyl ( maybe 40 min) the section of beach is crowd free ( indeed….nearly empty!!) and fabulous for the kids. Low tide provides a vast area of hard sand for ball games and castle building whereas high tide thoroughly cleans the beach twice a day. The weather this year was pretty poor but the kids still made the most of the “free” entertainment offered by sea and sand. Thanks again to the owners for offering their house. Charlie.

Dear Charlie, We're thrilled you returned to Beachside and enjoyed your stay once more. Your recommendation means so much!! • "Overall we had a lovely time staying at Beachside."

The property itself was a good size for our family party and the closeness to the beach was amazing. We did have a couple of issues which were that the cleaner had been told we wouldn't arrive until 5pm, although our information all said we could arrive from 4pm so he was still at the property when we arrived just after 4pm. After travelling with young children it was a little inconvenient that we couldn't get straight into the property and settle in and he seemed very rushed to get the basic cleaning tasks done before he left. Secondly we had two children (6 & 8 years old) who were meant to sleep in the bunk bed room but on inspection of the bed we found it to be very loose, and wobbled when gently touched. It creaked and the screws were all loose. We tried to tighten everything but it didn't help so we had to resort to mattresses on the floor for the week. It was fine but again not what we pictured. We loved the area, close to essential shops. we walked to Rhyl and back one day. We also visited Conwy, Colwyn Bay & Rhuddlan during the week and found plenty to keep our whole family entertained.

  • "Property was fab had a great stay & will return."

Perfect for our family including mom who’s in her 80’s so the bedroom downstairs was perfect. The only thing I was disappointed with was the garden furniture - we were unable to sit & eat as a party of 7 as some of the furniture was too uncomfortable & poor state worried at sitting in it in case it gave way. The ratton furniture set was great but for 4 people.

Thank you so much for taking the time out and to give us full marks across all categories. No matter how hard we try it is always hard to get 100% across everything, so on behalf of all the staff - sincere thanks! We have taken action in terms of the garden furniture and have already ordered a new large 8 seater seating area to add to the existing 4 seater rattan, the other items as you say were due replacement so sincere apologies for our cleaners and changeover crew not noticing. They will be long gone when you return (the furniture, not the staff that is.! ;-D) Property Owner

  • "A good place to stay not enough kitchen equipment for 10 people ie lack of glasses and very small frying pan."

No cafetiere. Small fridge for 10 people. The owner left a carton of milk with a use by date of May 1 we arrived on the 26th. Front of house and patio littered with cigarette ends and bottle and paper in front garden. Not enough space in dust bins for 10 people staying for a week.

We are shocked with this review as they weren't true. We always ask guests for feedback and respond immediately to anything mentioned. We are all passionate about what we do and give 100% to our uniquely located properties. Our staff cannot understand the comments made at all. First, the "lack of equipment" makes zero sense as there are no less than 3 x frying pans and also a large wok (!), also plenty of glasses (of all types). Maybe not all cupboards were checked? As for the "small fridge" comment - it is a full size (floor standing) fridge freezer so why was that comment made? Similarly the bins are full sized household wheelie bins and are collected weekly (notes with days left in the house)! The house (including gardens) are completely tidied by two teams of staff in between stays so its impossible that the gardens were such a mess (we have photographs of them in perfect condition). Absolutely gutted to receive this review, it just isn't fair! We try so hard all of the time to keep everyone happy and it really hurts the staff and makes us all truly unhappy to receive such an unfair account :( Property Owner

  • "This was a last minute booking for us, the location of the house is perfect, especially if you are after direct beach access and quite walks."

The house itself is comfortable and an ideal base. Couple of slight issues, which didn't massivly affect our stay, TV signal in main bedroom is not great and could do with some new glasses for drinks (for example one large wine glass and 2 larger drinking glasses, some smaller glasses) - as I say not a huge issue for us as their was only two of us, however, if we would of had more people could of been an issue.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback it is much appreciated and we are glad you loved the location. It isn't until you get there that you realise you are literally seconds from a lovely, clean and quiet beach via private direct grass/pathway. Really hard to capture in an advert so thanks for mentioning it :-) Regards the glasses, the cleaning and maintenance staff had already seen to this before your review so no worries there (there had been breakages by previous guests). All TVs are new "Smart" and can access channels via "apps" so the signal shouldn't be an issue but thanks for bringing it to our attention, we will add some instructions on how to use the smart features. The house was perfectly as detailed in the booking information and served us well for the stay. The location was fantastic and the short walk back and forth to a vast beach ( we timed the tides well!!!) was great for a toilet break or drinks etc. the kids had a whale of a time and, of course, that meant the adults relaxed also. I’ve left a good review on the Vrbo site and hope to be able to return next year if the owner will accept us!!!! Many thanks for the use of your home. Charlie.

Thank you VERY much for your detailed feedback, so happy that you enjoyed our home!! The amazingly short distance to the beach is hard to describe on here, you just have to be there to believe it. All guests enjoy that really pleasant surprise straight away.! It's fortunate that out of all the beach sections the one by the house is by far the quietest (and therefore cleanest) section. It is such a lovely find! True to the description the house is equipped with absolutely everything needed for a wonderful family holiday. We find that the house is perfect for family members with poor mobility due to the twin bedroom on the ground floor with en-suite. Also, due to the location of the property, the prom running parallel to the beach and sea is within easy reach and again very accessible for less able family members via motor scooters. I would highly recommend!

  • "The house was in a perfect location and was very comfortable but smaller than we anticipated."

We were a family of 10, 6 adults and 4 children. My mum is disabled and we chose the Beachside as it has a downstairs bedroom with ensuite and a TV. Unfortunately the TV did not work even when an engineer came out to fix it. The final solution offered to us was to move the 50inch plus TV from the living room which was absurd. The house would benefit from the following:- 1. It states there are 5 smart TV's. Unfortunately we could only watch the main one in the living room which suffered from constant glitching. The other TV's used Amazon firesticks. The house would benefit from a TV aerial/SKY/cable to watch "normal" TV. 2. There were no drawers or mirrors in 3 out of the 4 bedrooms. This small addition would make the rooms far more comfortable (not living out of bags/suitcases).

Really disappointed to receive such a poor review as we go out of our way to offer an immaculate property, literally right next to the beach at a price that rivals caravan rental in the same area / is completely unbeatable like-for-like. Staff that have been involved in the property are genuinely upset with this review which they feel isn't fair. The TVs are all under 12 months old (as is everything in the property) and have never posed a problem for any previous guests. As soon as the guest reported that the downstairs TV was 'faulty' we sent an engineer (immediately). He purchased and installed a brand new firestick (as the TV itself was fine) and when he left everything was working, or he simply wouldn't have left! "Constant glitching" would certainly have been noticed and commented on before so it's very odd to hear this and again with the TVs and all equipment being so new it can only be down to the weather which I know was particularly bad during this stay. In respect to the other comments, the 2x ensuite bathrooms, the WC and the main bathrooms all have mirrors and again we haven't had any negative feedback before in respect of there not being enough mirrors. We've also provided plenty of hanging space (including shelves) in ALL bedrooms so are at a loss to explain the last comment. Property Owner

The garden has a gate which leads across the grass & pathway over the dunes and the beach was very clean and so quiet compared to the other sections of beach - we were the only ones on "our section". We found the house itself immaculate and there was plenty of space for the 10 of us. The kids loved the xbox in the conservatory and we had to drag them off it to the beach and shops! Definitely can't wait to come back and amazed that more people aren't aware of this gem!

  • "Generally the property was lovely."

However, to improve the stay I think the beds could be larger, as well as the sofas being more comfortable. We had an issue with one bedroom smelling bad, not sure if it was linked to the ensuite room having a leak(down the stairs/hall ceiling). Very helpful having a washing machine/tumble dryer and dishwasher.
