Views from cottage fantastic and lovely garden to sit & watch birds. Really enjoyed walks from doorstep, finished off with visit to friendly local pub. Local bird hide a bonus. Embleton bay magnificent especially watching dolphins.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Bathroom just a little bit too small. Just a small suggestion to help future guests leaving the wi fi log in in the information pack provided we had to get on our hands and knees to find it.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for my property. The WiFi password is placed on the notice board in the property for all guests to see clearly on arrival. It is mentioned on all websites that the bathroom is smaller than an original bathroom. I am sorry it was not what you expected. Thank you again for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was as described and a pleasure to stay in."

On bad weather days (there were some!) we were happy to be inside where it was warm and of course with a lovely view to the front. The garden gave us extra space and we were away from the road so had plenty of quiet and bird life to watch. We much appreciated the no dogs rule and were very happy with the cleanliness of the cottage. We've stayed in Low Newton several times in various cottages, this has been the best so far.

  • "Lovely cosy and warm cottage, great view from front windows and had everything we needed for our weeks stay."

Just one thing for future holiday makers to be aware of, this was our first stay in the cottage and we were asked how many people would be staying and which bed(s) we would be using and as there were only 2 of us we said we would be sleeping in the double bed. However when we actually saw the bedrooms we realised that the double bed is in the very small back bedroom overlooking the parking spaces, whereas the single beds are in the much more spacious front bedroom with the views of the sea and amazing sunrises. There was no linen for the single beds so after 2 nights we asked for more bedding which the owner kindly arranged. I understand the importance of reducing towel and linen use however had all the beds been made up we would have used only 2 singles. I do think that if the full price is paid for a cottage (i.e. no 2 person discount) that all beds should be available so a choice can be made. Until you have seen a cottage for the first time you cannot decide where you want to sleep. other than that we loved the cottage, and hope to return but in future will stay in the single beds in the better bedroom.

  • "The property location was exceptional with easy access to the Northumberland coast path."

The property itself is cosy and well looked after. However there are a few items that would have made the stay better. A washing machine, storage in the main bedroom and secure outside storage for sports and outdoor equipment. That said a good property to enjoy Northumberland from.

At first I was a little unhappy to pay a housekeeping bond before we arrived but I could see why when i got there. Great care had been taken with the place lovely crisp cotton sheets, the fluffiest bathmat and it all looked like it has just been painted yesterday. Wonderfully clean too. We will be back again hopefully. Highly recommend

We have already booked again for 2023. I just cannot find anything not to love about the cottage and the location. Views of the bay with Dunstanburgh castle in the distance from the top window. Parking behind the cottage where parking is at a premium. 100yds walk to the beach. Fantastic coastal path walks on the door step. On top of this 50yds to the fisherman's cottages with the ship inn nestled in the middle. The Ship brews its own beer, has great food, friendly staff and is a proper pub (recommend you book a table if you want to eat indoors especially in season). The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need including a large back garden.

The constantly changing view of the sea, sky and Dunstanburgh Castle from the cottage was wonderful as was the incredible breadth of wildlife thanks to the nearby nature reserve. And yes, you can hear the sea from the cottage. We were also really impressed by the cleanliness of the beach and the quietness of the area. A wonderful holiday for anyone who wants to be somewhere quiet away from the crowds.

There is a lovely sea view from the front of the cottage and some great walks round the nature reserve and the beach. Good pub in the village which brews its own beer. We had a great holiday. The owner kept us really well informed right from booking to departing.

  • "Superbly situated, views across the bay to Dunstanburgh Castle."

Cottage as described. Kitchen in dire need of a pair of scissors which actually cut, and a small saucepan. MIssed our dishwasher, freezer, washing-machine and dryer. Odd three single beds in front bedroom. Chest of drawers in back bedroom inaccessible as too close to the bottom of the bed, so no storage in that cramped room. Bathroom also cramped. Steep open-treaded stairs difficult for those with limited mobility, and unsuitable for young children. We had an enjoyable week's stay, but will not be returning due to the comments above.

Many thanks for your feedback. We understand that you missed some of your white goods during your stay, however we do not advertise these items at this property. The photos on the website do show clearly the open tread staircase and the configuration of the bedrooms and bathroom. We will check the scissors and saucepans on our next visit and we thank you again for your feedback. Property Owner

Excellent for walking straight out to sandy beaches, rocky headlands, dunes and a local bird hide. Two nearby pubs with great food and lots of places to visit within a short drive or bus ride. The cottage itself is cosy and well equipped, spotlessly clean and ideal for a couple or small family. Bigger groups can rent next door too. Hope to return and will definitely recommend.
