"We had a lovely stay and the views from the cottage are spectacular."
Such a warm and welcoming place which we settled into very quickly. Lovely and clean and facilities were good ! Only things we picked up on was the kettle is faulty, lack of hot water and the single sofa could do with a steam clean but apart from that we had a lovely stay and are already looking to book for summer time next year. Would definitely recommend to friends and family
We are a little confused as the kettle appears to be working fine and there is ample hot water. I wish you had contacted us during your stay and we could have nipped in to discuss with you and sort any issues out. Any marks on the sofa will be cleaned immediately. Property Owner

Parking was safe for the bike . The cottage was like being at home , cosy , well equipped and hosts are fantastic . We had a lovely stay and enjoyed exploring the area . Would definitely stay again !

"A lovely little escape retreat very rural and so peaceful just what we needed to get away from our busy life style."
The place had everything you needed and was very comfortable and really warm I was impressed with the touch of a Christmas tree for the festive period.The owners were lovely very polite and welcoming beautiful scenery all around just loved it.

The cottage is in an isolated position, but if it’s peace and quietness you want it’s perfect. WiFi and phone signal is poor, but that was no problem for us.

Really nicely presented cottage with all you'd want for your stay. Good kitchen with all you need provided. Really liked the quality cheese and biscuits treat from the owners. Living space nice size so was the bedroom and teh bed was very confortable. Loved the roll-top bath. We had a very minor issue with the heating but Garry came round and sorted it very quickly. The communication from Claire was excellent and although the weather wasn't great that weekend it was a good place just to relax. Would highly recommend this accomodation

A name at the entrance to the farm drive would have been helpful. Satnav tells you to park the car and walk!

It was so peaceful surrounded by beautiful countryside, whilst amenities are not on your doorstep we found the tranquility of the setting relaxing and idyllic. The walks we found took us through some beautiful scenic countryside and quaint villages. We will most definitely be booking to stay again.

The cottage was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything you needed. We came away from our visit feeling relaxed and refreshed. The only down side, and it was only a small one was there wasn't a pub within walking distance. We would definitely recommend staying at the little owl barn and it will be somewhere we'd definitely stay again, we didn't want to come home.

The cottage had everything you could need and was very cosy! Excellent bath big was perfect for after a chilly walk. The added touch of homemade cheese and oatcakes apon arrival was a lovely gesture. We would definitely come back and recommend to others!

On arrival we were greeted by the owner who lives in the Farm House next door. The cottage is really lovely and has everything you want for a home from home (apart from mobile reception and wifi!) It is in a beautiful location and is perfect for sightseeing in this area. We highly recommend The Little Owl Barn.

Met by the owner on arrival who showed us around the property, the welcome pack included cheese made by the family who sell it locally. Delicious. Although the property is attached to the owners house they are very unobtrusive and we only saw them on arrival and when we were leaving.The cottage itself was very comfortable and well equipped with t.v, DVD player and games. We didn’t need them as the weather was brilliant. First time in the Peak District and Claire the owner very helpful on tips for visits. Would certainly return.

The owners have thought of every comfort and it was very clean and welcoming. We sadly didn't get any decent weather to enjoy the beautiful countryside but it is somewhere we will return to and give another go. Buxton is a nice little town and Longnor was lovely to stroll through. Some nice little pubs close by where the food was good and the welcome freindly. I recommend the Pack Horse, scrummy food. I guess WIFI would have been nice but we did know this before we went and to be fair the cottage is in a very secluded area, which is why we chose it. Thank you for sharing your lovely quiet retreat with us. Also the cheese was lovely!!

Longnor nestles between the Dove and Manifold valleys and provides an excellent starting point for many walks, whether its a ramble by the river or for a more challenging walk, there are some serious upland treks.
Also, the Tissington Trail is a great cycle route with stunning scenery.
The spa town of Buxton and the market town of Bakewell are within easy reach, so theres plenty to see and do from this romantic cottage whenever you choose to go.

The charming Peak District village of Longnor is situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands/Derbyshire border, with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, making an excellent touring centre. The village boasts a pub, a shop, a Post Office, a sweet shop, café tea room, fish and chip shop, and a beautiful church. The historic market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park are all within easy reach.
