  • "We had a wonderful stay here."

The cottage itself is beautiful, it's well worth venturing into the woodland and stream behind the property, which feels like a fairy glenn. We took daily walks to the local cove alone the main path and each day saw a seal! The local wildlife here is fantastic. At the cottage we saw a wide variety or birds, a visiting fox, a toad and the icing on the cake, a badger! Make sure to leave the nuts along the patio each night to have chance at a glimpse of him/her. The games room was an added bonus, my partner and I enjoyed more than a few games of pool, table tennis and darts. We met Huw, the owner who was lovely and welcoming and clearly very proud of all the work that has gone into the cottage and gardens. And rightly so! Local places we can reccomend a visit to that are dog friendly: Fishguard fort (very small walk but worth a look,we combined this with a mooch around Fishguard and the harbour) Castell Henleys Iron Age Village, The coastal path near the cottage, Tenby (an hours drive, but worth it) and New Quay (about an hours drive as well but we went on a boat trip and managed to see a pod of dolphins). All in all a wonderful week! We well most certainly be returning! Thank you!

  • "We had a fabulous vacation."

The cottage had everything you could need and alot more. Beautiful secluded location, but still close to local shops. The walk through the woodland at the end of the garden to the beach was stunning. We were kept busy feeding the birds, badger and fox that visited the bird table on the patio, to be able to watch a badger every evening was delightful. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, happy to share the history of the cottage and local area. Looking forward to a return visit next year.

  • "We had a lovely time at Trewrach Cottage despite the weather."

The cottage is in a very secluded and peaceful place. It really felt like you were away from everything whilst being within driving distance of towns and beaches. There was lots of wildlife and the fox and badger visited every evening. The games room was a bonus during wet weather. Huw (owner) was very friendly and approachable but not intrusive at all. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

  • "Trewrach Cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful location."

Although it is not far to drive to get to the main coast road, to visit other places. The roses were looking especially good the week we were there. The owners are keen to be helpful and the cottage is laid out in a practical way, with everything there that you might need. The garden is not enclosed, which might be an issue for some dogs, but our spaniel is not a roamer, so it wasn't a problem for us.

  • "Loved our stay at Trewarch Cottage."

Was greeted at the Cottage by owner Huw. Gave us a quick tour of the property. Perfect location set within a wooded area with private natural waterfalls cascading down through the ancient woods leading towards an almost private beach set in a cove. Fantastic walks from the beach over the coastal path routes. Huw is a bird lover and there is x2 small milk churn buckets in the dining area filled with peanuts and seeds. Bird table outside French doors for refilling the bird table. Basically you don't need the tv the birds will keep you occupied, often see a pair of jays and a woodpecker plus all kinds of small birds. Thought I saw an Emu at one point Ha Ha! Bedrooms were adequate and comfy Living room has plenty of reference books encyclopedias etc. plus puzzles and card games which we like. Basically, if you like nature and peace and want to relax and feel good about life....this cottage is for you. Would love to visit one day in the future. The games room is cool, please note not attached to the cottage but still close by. Thanks David Heidi & Ralphy

  • "A wonderful cottage in a lovely location."

Very peaceful with a pleasant variety of wildlife right on the doorstep! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the ease of access to walks, with stunning views. Only slight negative is the garden is not completely enclosed which we needed for our dogs. The property was lovely and clean and comfortable. Delivery to the cottage by Tesco was a bit of a faf as their van could not negotiate the narrow single-track road so we had to drive to the junction with the main road to collect our order - not a major problem but just to be aware. The games room gave us several night of great family entertainment. The owner is very friendly and social; keen to share his knowledge of the local wildlife and history of the cottage. I only wish we had known about the photo album of the cottage's restoration before the morning of departure as I would have enjoyed looking through it.

  • "The cottage was perfect for a relaxing getaway, fully equipped, very cozy, (thanks to underfloor heating and woodburner), and private."

The dogs loved the large grass area outside with an archway that leads into the woods. There is a lovely walk through the trees that follows the stream to the beach, which we had to ourselves most days it being February much to our dogs delight. We found the cliff paths are quite challenging round Dinas so after walking, afternoons were usually spent with our feet up watching the huge numbers of birds feed on the patio or little orchard behind before 4 overgrown kids headed off to the games room to play pool and table tennis or got our telescope out and made the most of the dark skies. Apart from a 10 minute drive to Fishguard to stock up on supplies we had everything we needed for a great holiday enjoying nature with 2 lively collies. Huw and Feroza were great hosts. I'm so glad we found this place.

Once the evening has drawn to a close, catch your rest within one of the two bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both served by a family bathroom with a shower over bath, basin and WC.

The garden at Trewrach Cottage has been designed as an extension of the house itself, where you can spend sunny afternoons on the large patio area as something tasty sizzles on the barbecue and you enjoy the company of family and friends.

Additionally, there is a large lawn area for your canine companions to explore, as well as a nearby woodland to meander for a change of scenery.

The world renowned Ffald y Brenin Christian retreat is just a further 10 minutes’ drive.

Head to the coast and spend the day at Pwllgwaelod Beach, a small cove decorated with a mixture of sand and shingle, enveloped by towering cliffs and boasting panoramic views across the stunning coastline.

Ideal parking for a coastal walk around Dinas Island to the quaint village of Cwm yr Eglwys.

Return to the Sailor Safety pub at Pellgwaelod for a well-deserved fresh lobster meal.
