  • "A beautiful barn conversion in a beautiful location."

We had an amazing break and our dogs loved the beautiful garden to run around in. On the clear evenings the star-gazing is amazing with almost no light pollution. Good facilities and we would have given this property and location a full 5 stars, but we have knocked 1 star off because there were some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. We have reported this to the property owners. The downstairs bathroom basin tap was extremely loose and the plug was stuck down which meant during the time of the break one of us could not use the basin. Other maintenance such as cooker hob/cupboard under lighting does not work. Not so much of issue normally, but this area of the kitchen is darker and you need the additional lighting to cook. Also, the bottom, larger oven, did not work. Please don't let this put you off booking, as we are sure the owners will fix these issues for the next visitors. This is a lovely property, large with lots of storage and beautiful views. The utility room is extremely handy, as it keeps very warm and so it's good for drying dog towels, walking boots, washing, etc. A good place to come in from dog walking as you can clean them off before entering the main house. Important to note that the garden is not enclosed. Although the access road is remote and quiet, the owners property is at the back and their dogs pop over to the property for a visit. Not a problem for us, but could be a problem for people who have dogs that are not so tolerant of other dogs. The location is great for exploring Pembrokeshire/Cardigan Bay. 15-20 minutes drive away is Newport Beach. It is a beautiful, sandy beach that is dog friendly. It has toilets and a shack on the beach that even sells dog friendly ice cream! Just a short walk up the road is the golf clubhouse and restaurant where dogs are also allowed and you can get food and drinks, etc. We had a great stay and would certainly recommend the property and location.

  • "We had a wonderful stay in Y Beudy!"

The house is spotlessly clean, very comfortable with lots of space. The hot tub was a lovely luxury! It is a great spot to use as a base for exploring stunning Pembrokeshire. The hosts are excellent, and the welcome hamper was fab! Would highly recommend!

Thank you for the lovely feedback. Ps the Pembrokeshire drizzle has stopped now! Property Owner

  • "A slice of heaven!"

We had the most wonderful two week break at this delightful cottage, which was everything we wanted and more. The location was perfect for getting out and exploring all of our favourite places, and finding new ones, in Pembrokshire, and the facilities at the cottage were brilliant. The cottage owners, Shan and Mark, were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend this cottage as a perfect place to stay, and have already booked to go back next year as we had such a lovely time.

Thank you for the lovely feedback, we look forward to seeing you again next year. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house."

Large, light, spacious rooms and good views from house. Easy walking from doorstep and good access to cost path and hills. The outdoor seating and hot tub are well positioned for evening sunshine. Shan was very responsive. Her dogs come round to say hello - but are much more friendly than ours! As per previous review, the garden is not enclosed so dogs/children could escape - but this was not a problem for us. Lovely fresh eggs - don’t bring any with you.

  • "We had a great week away."

Thank you to Shan & family - lovely owners who are on site & immediately available if there are any issues, but without being intrusive. The welcome pack is great - delicious local produce. The cottage has loads of space, is warm & comfortable, easy to find & there’s plenty of parking. Very quiet / peaceful area, but easy to get to other areas of Pembrokeshire for days out etc. The garden, patio & hot tub are great! Only 1 minor comment - the garden is not enclosed (dogs and / or kids can easily get out into the owners’ garden or onto the road), and the owners dogs often come over to the cottage garden / driveway to say hello.

We had a brilliant week in this lovely barn. It was very spacious and there was plenty of room for all 6 of us... and the dog. It's very well equipped and the beds are really comfortable. The hot tub and the table football gave us hours of fun! Thanks, Shan - we really did have a lovely week!
