On arrival there was a lovely plate of home made Welsh Cakes, which were amazing, along with tea, coffee, milk and sugar. There was a visitors pack, full of information. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. We had a perfect holiday. Thank you Jackie (Chesterfied)

Very spacious accommodation spread over 4 floors. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Well equipped kitchen. Wooded garden was excellent for walking our dog in the morning. Brilliant location for visiting Pembrokeshire coastal walks and other attractions. Local pub, Ferry Inn was very handy at the end of the road, as well as Allumchine restaurant in Neyland. Very helpful and friendly owner, who welcomed us with freshly baked Welsh cakes. We would definately recommend to others looking to stay in this area.

  • "This is a really lovely property."

It’s set over 4 floors which was daunting when we first arrived but by the end no problem at all. You approach the property by a long drive and on the left is some overgrown land which does not belong to the owners so they have no control how it looks but they are helping to clear it to make it look better. You approach the old mill, the annex is located on the side of the building. There is plenty of parking. You have access to a lovely private garden with table, plenty of chairs, bbq and fire pit. There is even access to a large wood for walking which is wonderful. The owners Phil and Rhiann have even set aside another idyll with a bench to sit on by a managed wild flower garden. You enter the property via a lobby area (great for coats and footwear). On the right opens onto a large kitchen and equipped with dish washer, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, cooker and coffee machine. Tesco even deliver if you want. There is a table that sits 6 comfortably. On the first floor are 2 very generous sized bedrooms with large double beds, wardrobes and side tables plenty of space to move around. Second floor has a very generous bathroom with walk in shower. The living room is also on this floor and has a large 3 and 2 seater sofas. There is also a television and games in the cupboard. It is large, comfortable and spacious. The last floor was wonderful a huge king size bed and spacious. Again a large spacious bathroom with bath and shower over. Wonderful. You would think that is the end but in the main bedroom is a small safe ladder to access a mezzanine with a small sofa. The owners have put in a dormer window which is great of a night time to appreciate the unpolluted sky of Neyland. Amazing how you become so use to street lighting that we very rarely see skies that twinkle. Let’s in loads of light of a morning bliss. The owners have been thoughtful with certain touches. Torches on the stairs for use if you want to go for an evening walk or in our case back from the pub. Have to mention the local pub The Ferry Inn well worth a visit or two. In the kitchen are information booklets/ leaflets about the area with recommendations from the owners which I have to say we did follow and were not disappointed. We were welcomed with a plate of the most delicious Welsh cakes and although we tried a few others in the area none came close to Rhianns. The area is stunning. Neyland lies in an estuary and has some lovely views. Near by is the marina so if you are keen on water sports this is the spot. Although if it’s not your thing the cafes are lovely and the nature reserve is worth a visit. It’s close to lots of beautiful areas, Saundersfoot, Tenby, Milford Haven, St David’s, Stackpole, Barafundle Bay and Solva to name a few. It’s such a versatile place to chill and enjoy. Be water sporty or go on lots of wonderful walks. Lovely beaches or a bit of retail therapy. It had something for each of us as a party of 4 adults and a small cute dog. The owners are nearby and are on hand if needed but otherwise leave you alone and we personally were not aware of them. Can we recommend the old mill? Absolutely. Would we visit and book again? Absolutely. Would we recommend this part of Wales? Without a doubt. It’s such a hidden gem. The area is pretty, the people so friendly and welcoming.

Thank you for your comments however due to your stay we have now had no option but to include a good housekeeping bond. We love dogs but leaving a recently rescued animal alone in the property to cause damage is not fair to him or ourselves. The daybed is not functional for a little one, we made do and made a bed up which she loved. Value for money and we had a great week.

Thank you for your comments, it was a pleasure having you here. I will have the day bed mattress replaced to hopefully improve the comfort Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely house, very dark in the kitchen/dining room so had to use power."

Mismatch of pans to use and most with no lids. Misleading with the 4.5 acres as actually we could only walk in a small part of this land and after a grass area it was quite overgrown. Also wasn't expecting to be attached to owners own house and them having a Woodburn going each night which entailed us not to be able to have windows open because the smell just drifted into the lounge and also the master bedroom. Owners were very pleasant and the welcome Welsh Cakes were a nice touch.

Thank you for your comments, it is always beneficial to receive feedback. With regard to the kitchen being dark, the stone walls are 3ft deep & not possible to cut additional windows into the building. All pots & pans have lids, full set plus additional equipment. Most people find it beneficial having help at hand if required plus guests have private garden but our BBQ has since been moved (we are in a valley so smoke can linger on occasions) Most of our land is banked but will check & cut paths Property Owner

  • "We recently had the pleasure of staying at this property in Pembrokeshire, and I must say, it was an absolute delight."

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a beautiful and comfortable home that set the stage for a truly memorable getaway. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the incredible hospitality of the owners. They not only provided us with a warm welcome but also proved to be an invaluable source of local knowledge. Their willingness to share their insights and experiences about the area added an extra layer of depth to our vacation. It's always a bonus to have hosts who genuinely care about making your stay special. The property's location was another highlight. Just a few minutes' walk from the doorstep is a pretty stony beach where we enjoyed beach-combing sessions and walks with our dog. It was a peaceful and serene spot that allowed us to connect with nature and unwind. However, what truly amazed us was the abundance of quiet, pristine sandy beaches within a short 30 to 45-minute drive. Pembrokeshire boasts some of the most breathtaking coastlines in the UK, and we had the privilege of exploring many of them. Each beach had its own unique charm, and the convenience of having them within reach made our holiday even more enjoyable. In the end, our time in Pembrokeshire felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We wholeheartedly recommend this holiday property to anyone looking to recharge, reconnect with nature, and create lasting memories in this picturesque corner of the world.

Thank you so much, we are always delighted when we have guests stay that fully appreciate the incredible place we live … even if the weather isn’t always perfect Property Owner

Owners can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Home baked Welsh cakes on arrival and departure. We found that we had relatives holidaying nearby and these we also made welcome when we met up at nearby pub for a meal. Ferry House Inn a couple of minutes walk and we'll worth a visit for a meal. Only downside would be the stairs could be a problem with some people but we found them good practice for Coast Path walks.

We hadn't realised just how close we were to the sea, just a few yards down the road. There is a lovely pub serving delicious food on the doorstep (The Ferry Inn) as well as a couple of other great places to eat in Neyland Marina just a 30 to 40 min walk away. The local Co Op has everything you could need, and a few other shops and takeaways are dotted up and down Neyland High Street. Toast marshmallows on an open fire in the garden, or sit and while away the hours watching the many boats and Irish Ferry sailing in and out of Pembroke dock as you enjoy a pint or two down at the waters edge! The beds were lovely and comfortable as was the sofa in the beautiful cosy lounge. We happened to time our stay during a heat wave but being a old stone building the property didn't get too hot and stuffy. I imagine it would be equally nice for a winter break. The location was fabulous as it was very central to all the places we wanted to visit and a world a way from all the hussle and bustle of the nearby busy resorts. There was even a little pub a couple of minutes walk away with a bear garden over looking the harbour. The owners were very welcoming and helpful without being the least bit intrusive and even managed to stay jovial when our whippet tried to chase their cat! On arrival owner Rhian had made us some delicious Welsh cakes and also gave my son some mellows to toast when she saw us using the fire pit in the garden.
