  • "We had a lovely time."

Although we were very busy for the first part of the stay (we were staying for a family wedding), we always felt very comfortable and relaxed, especially in the hot tub at sunset! The setting was beautiful and very quiet. Bear in mind that the location is remote and isolated, hence the roads are narrow and not in the best condition, so you will need to drive slowly and carefully. We also met the host who was very hospitable and helpful. Would happily go again.

  • "We travelled from the West Midlands and had a wonderful relaxing break."

The cottage is in a remote and peaceful location, and the surrounding areas as well as the animals were lovely to see. The hot tub is fabulous though it would benefit from a cover for colder/wetter weather. The beautiful farmstyle kitchen caters for everything but a washing machine or dryer so be sure to bring some spares! The enclosed area around the property was great for our small dog and children. All in all a wonderful break for all the family.

  • "Pros * Communication with owner was excellent, very informative and friendly."

    * Lovely place - the views are just stunning all the way around the house. * Out of the way - so peaceful, if you want to get away from it all - this is the place. * Hot tub is fab, sheer luxury after a days walking. * Heating panels are very clever idea and look great. Such beautiful pictures, you would never guess they were heaters unless you knew - very effective too. * Beautifully appointed house, so much room - fab for a family holiday/get together. * The views are spectacular and it’s a birdwatchers paradise - red kites, jays, robins, thrush and many more, just fantastic. * Comfy sofas and beds - but super king has a quilt that only just fits across the bed so if your partner rolls over with the quilt you are without any. * Great area for walkers too and dogs. * No phone signal - great to get away from it all. Suggestions: * Canopy over hot tub for rainy days? * Rainy day play area, young ones got a bit fed up when it was pouring down all day one day - yes we did go for a walk with them to expend some energy but it would have been nice to have an area under cover to play with some large bricks or cars or something in. They brought their bike and scooter, so a bit of a flat, undercover area for them to use them in would be great. * It’s off the beaten track so get a delivery of food or take lots with you. The local Tesco in Pontardawe deliver there, which is perfect. Cons * Lots of rules in ‘welcome pack’ which was a bit off putting and not very welcoming! * Off road a bit, can be awkward if you meet another vehicle. Not great for low profile cars, very bumpy track. * Very hot on arrival - Panels were on 24 and 26 in our bedroom, far too hot for us we ended up turning the top bedroom one off at night. * Wi-Fi great at first, then once people arrived at the cabin across the courtyard it went off, then came back once they’d gone! It didn’t happen again when the next people arrived though - very odd?! * £10 charge for fire supplies does not include enough fire lighters so if you allow fire to go out overnight it’s tricky to relight it the next day - on a very damp day this box only lasted the day and the fire was out by 4pm! * No washing machine, we would have preferred a washer to the dishwasher as we can always wash up by hand - wet muddy dog towels and nowhere to clean or dry them. Also when staying with little ones it’s nice to be able to wash and dry clothes if needed - they can get very messy. * Mattress protector and sheet are a bit small too and kept coming off at the corners on super king bed. * My pet hate - Dirty toilet brushes! * It’s all a bit tired in places - e.g. grouting in bathrooms/sealant round sink in kitchen. * Bed guards for twin room would have been a good idea as they are very high for young children our 32 month old grandson fell out of bed and bumped his head. * Shower just off boot room - only static shower can’t use it to wash dogs off. No heat in boot room where all wet dog stuff and wet coats are - Radiator and towel rail can not be switched on! Therefore not easy to get dogs clean in boot room. Rules state you must clean them off before they go into the house after a muddy walk - of which there were a few!! But it’s not easy to do so. * If dog friendly - why no dogs on furniture and upstairs? It’s supposed to be home from home. Our little dog sleeps upstairs at home, fortunately our sons Labrador was also with us so she was fine in the boot room with her, but if she hadn’t had company she would have cried all night.

  • "A lovely, peaceful and comfortable property."

We enjoyed exploring the place and bird watching. The hot tub was a relaxing way to end a day of touring the area. We would definitely recommend Nant Moel Isaf Farm Only one slight negative - no washing machine or way to dry swimsuits other than indoors.

  • "Wonderful stay in a beautiful home."

Very welcoming and cosy house, the photos did not do it justice. Great location for walks and exploring. Would definitely stay again.

  • "Had a great stay at this beautiful, remote location with stunning views."

There was a super enclosed area for the dogs where they could run free. After a long day walking and exploring the coast, it was amazing to take a dip in the hot tub then settle down in front of the log burner. A fantastic property and great communication with the owners. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
