  • "Lovely cottage ideal spot close to town & beach."

Couple of tweaks needed eg mattress in front room very hard, pots & pans over used need replacing, tv remote (standby button) temperamental. Garden could be an issue for anyone with mobile disabilities! Definitely one of the better cottages we have stayed in.

Clean and spacious. The cooker was a bit tricky but we figured it out in the end . Maybe an idiot proof guide to the hob would be helpful !! Appreciated all the dehumidifiers - felt like they were all doing the job and didn't have any worries about damp or concerns about sleeping in the rooms. Location ideal.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but due to the inclement weather felt that without the central heating at the property we would not have been able to stay there for a full week ,as the annexe bedroom was very cold."

The cottage was in an ideal position for all amenities on offer in Saundersfoot and surrounding areas.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay, I don’t quite understand your central heating comments. The cottage has full gas central heating with a boiler that has instructions on how to use it when required and what more facilities do you think the cottage needs and what inaccuracy is in the listing. • "We had a lovely stay at the cottage which is in a great location."

It is a very well equipped cottage and good base for exploring the area. We found the cottage in general was good but in the adjoining bedrooms it smelled very damp and black mold was evident on the ceiling. In the double bedroom there was black mold on the back of the curtains also. Although we appreciate it’s a stone building and we did make use of the provided dehumidifiers while we were there, they were not actually switched on when we arrived.

  • "Cottage was lovely but unfortunately the mattresses in all bedrooms were not suitable for adults as they lacked support and the older members found them uncomfortable."

Also it’s very off putting to stay in a cottages fulls of signs tell us what we couldn’t do, some even commented about the cost that would be incurred should we need a plumber. We understand the need for the owners to covers themselves should theses things occur but this could be put into the information pact and not stuck to walls in rooms. Having stayed in numerous holiday homes we have never come across this before.

Firstly thank you for your comment regarding our lovely cottage, we have not had any complaints previously regarding mattress support. The mattresses were all of a firm classification when purchased. Regards to the excessive signage, the only room to have notifications in is the bathroom as stated it is a polite yet firm request regarding what is put down the toilet. An initial Simple request was ignored and we felt the need to reinforce the notification, since then we have had no issues. Kindest regards Michael and Lara Property Owner

We had children aged 5 to 15 and they were all catered for activity wise, even fishing nets included. We had a lovely time. The only downside was the one bathroom for a cottage sleeping 8 but to be expected in a cottage of this age and surprisingly due to the cottage being so well equipped we struggled to find room for the shopping, small niggles that didn't stop us having a fanatastic time

The only feedback would be to purchase some a new garden table and chairs as some were broken and some people had attempted to fix and tape up but weren't suitable for sitting on Other than this a great stay thanks again!

Many thanks for your kind comments, apologies for the chairs but I checked them a few weeks ago and somebody had managed to break a piece of the table but the chairs were ok. I am afraid someone must have broken the chairs and not informed us. I will be visiting this weekend and will check. I am pleased you informed us if we don’t know we can’t fix it Kindest regards Mike & Lara. Property Owner

  • "Property was extremely well equipped in a great location."

However the cleanliness was not as good as I would have expected in that the floor was dirty. Our grandsons within minutes of arriving and running round the corridors had ‘black’ soles of their feet. I have no doubt the floors had been vacuumed but they certainly had not been mopped as I would expect tile and laminated floors to be. There was evidence of dog hair in the property and a smell of dog wee.The mattress in the double bedroom with the twin bedded room off it was in poor condition and needs upgrading. The air fresheners, and there are many, were overpowering. The property would benefit from the addition of a second bathroom or en-suite facility when catering for a maximum of eight visitors. Overall the property was good and we would return.

Thank you for your constructive feed back and we will pass on your comments to our cleaners. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay overall and look forward to welcoming you back kind regards Mike and Lara Property Owner

A wonderful house in a wonderful location - a stones throw from everything that Saundersfoot has to offer. The house was spacious and comfortable (some of the beds were definitely more comfortable than others but as a family of 4 we didn't need to use them all); well equipped and a great range of technology (tvs, xbox etc). We had a slight plumbing issue during our stay which was swiftly and apologetically dealt with. We wouldn't hesitate to return, such a treat to find a dog friendly property in such a fantastic spot.

Restaurants, bars and beaches are a very short stroll for the cottage. The cottage is spacious and easily sleeps 8 people - worth noting, the twin bedroom is accessed through a double bedroom and may be more suited to children. Although no issues for the 4 of us, only having 1 WC / shower could prove inconvenient to larger groups. The Stone Crab restaurant in the harbour is highly recommended

  • "We had a lovely stay in Captiva Cottage."

It's close enough to the centre to make it very convenient, but far enough away to be a quiet place to stay. The cottage is finished to a high standard and well kept. The twin bedroom at the back is fairly small, and the "wardrobe" is taken up with high-chairs, so whoever is in there will need to hang clothes elsewhere. One bathroom for 8 people can be a little trying, but we managed ok :-) Great wifi and a good selection of DVD's and games to use. Plenty of bin-bags and dishwasher tablets as well. Thanks for a great stay :-)

  • "Beautiful cottage in a perfect location, close to the beach, harbour and amenities!"

! Congratulations to Michael and Lara for the love and thought that's gone into the design and facilities of their special cottage... we loved the theme and the decor, as it reminded us of our own honeymoon on Captiva Island, many years ago...we felt at home there and it provided a perfect little haven of peace and tranquility for a few days away to unwind, relax and regenerate. My only suggestion would be for more worktop space in the kitchen, because for people like us, who like to prepare meals and eat in, there aren't adequate food preparation areas. We hope to return to Captiva Cottage again.
