  • "So well equipped."

Lively welcome wine, biscuits and milk as well as tea and coffee. Bed very comfortable with good quality linen and pillows.Could have done with a standard light in the living room or table light as not good enough fir me to sew! But that’s just me. Terrace was wonderful.

All done on your suggestions. Property Owner

  • "Only downside was the front door lock breaking on 2 separate occasions."

Both times it was attended to but a new lock is in hand I believe to be replaced. Also there was no welcome letter left and the WiFi pass in the best of Suffolk folder isn't recognised. We had to use the password on the router in the small bedroom.

  • "The washing machine was unusable until we'd removed lots of shredded dried paper from the drum."

The machine was filthy and the detergent draw didn't pull out so the powder I'd bought came home with me unopened and had to go and buy tablets. The tumble dryer took hours to dry laundry and made a horrendous noise - way above the TV. The TV had a vertical black line down the screen. There are no wardrobes in the bedrooms. The toilet flush in the en-suite is very hard to work, as is the one in the full bathroom, also the toilet seat moves from side to side in here too. I have let the owner know privately. It's a shame about the lack of cleanliness and repairs needed that should have been reported by the cleaner and repaired. Such a lovely little cottage. The ensuite is way too small for a couple with no storage space

Thank you for the feed back. A lot of the comments have been solved. The cleaners don’t try the washing machine or dryer, ditto the tv so the only way we know is from feedback. Thank you for highlighting. This is the first time these thing have been pointed out. All fixed now. Quick update , due to your comments we have now rectified all the snagging problems you highlighted. As I said there are thing we don’t test on regular cleans do it was very useful you highlighted them for us. Even painted the outside. Property Owner

  • "Bunny Cottage is absolutely lovely."

Very well stocked with crockery, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils etc. Nicely decorated throughout with a lot of care and attention to detail. I loved the upstairs 'reading room', a lovely touch. Lovely comfy bed and we had a bathroom each, blissful! We had beautiful hot weather and we sat on the roof terrace a lot, looking out to the sea. We enjoyed the '80's Carnival theme very much and I was able to catch up with some friends and reminisce about our youth in the '70's and early '80's, when I lived and worked in Aldeburgh. I always love coming back and being able to stay in Bunny Cottage was the icing on the cake! Thank you Jo & Rob.

So pleased you had a good stay. We forgot to tell you about Carnival as the day can be quite boisterous. Glad you enjoyed the day and the week Property Owner

The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. The only downside, the door was difficult to lock/unlock. Perhaps we would recommend a new shower head and hose to both bathrooms and a new plug for the bath. Saying that we would book again .

Perfect for the 2 of us for New Year. Loved the Christmas tree and other welcoming touches. Very well equipped and comfortable. All spotlessly clean - excellent location near beach, High Street and restaurants/pubs. Parking straightforward.

  • "It was in a great location and the kitchen was well equipped."

The log burner was fantastic. However the photos completely misrepresent the space and light. It was so small dark and pokey . I was so disappointed when I opened the front door. Had I known this I wouldn’t have booked it and it led to a less enjoyable Christmas than I had hoped for. The upstairs was ok. I had the small bedroom- nowhere to hang clothes and the rings in the bottom draw of the chest kept coming off. The bathroom was ok - a bit dingy to be honest and I had to wedge something under the bathroom plug so that the bath water could drain away. I’m very disappointed by the misrepresentation of the inside - it was nowhere near as nice as it was portrayed on your website and I certainly won’t be returning to Bunny Cottage. I doubt I’d recommend Sykes either as I think the way you portray properties is dishonest.

I have just seen this review which is rather late I know. Sorry you didn’t feel it was what you expected and the photos misrepresented the property, I guess without a floor plan it is g go re to tell . Your comments have been taken onboard and we will look at ways to address your misgivings. Thank you for your candor. Rob ( owner) Property Owner

  • "Bunny cottage is perfectly located in Aldeburgh and whilst car parking could be an issue in peak season there are many options which should allow free parking."

The property itself wants for nothing and is fitted out to a high standard with white goods, furniture and linens, all adding to the Great feel of the place which is 'tardis' like on the inside with 2 fine bedrooms , a study ,lovely lounge and dining kitchen, with bathroom, ensuite and cloakroom and then the sundeck with Seaview. We have said that in East Anglia Bunny Cottage is hard to better and truly well presented.

The roof Terrance is a great place to sit in theism and have breakfast ,most morning's . We would come back again . Great restaurants in Aldeburgh, would recommend the Regatta ,also lunch at the Wentworth on a rainy afternoon .

Thank you for your kind comments. We had a small knife there but it developed legs or made its way into the bin, I have done that before when prepping a pile of salad. Glad you enjoyed Regatta as it was run by us before and it is nice they are keeping up the good work, I hope to see you again soon Rob, Jo and Anita. Property Owner

  • "I have listed your details as inaccurate regarding parking."

Your details stated that parking was outside but in reality the was only limited parking time. Outside the cottage was limited to 2 hours, then we would have to move the vehicle. The car park opposite was limited to 4 hours, both of which was between 8.00am and 6.00 pm. If we had known then I would have looked for a property with a parking space even if it was cost a little extra. Most days we were looking at the time which spoilt our holiday as we could not fully relax.

Thank you for your comments. The parking here is a problem at times but there are all day spaces near by. On the front there are lots but I wish you could have asked I could have explained. An Alternative is the car parks in front for £3 a day. Sorry it spoilt it for you. Property Owner

It’s very well located just off the high street, it’s cosy and comfortable, and has everything you need. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfy, and having a shower as well as a bathroom is great, with excellent fluffy towels. Perhaps a non-slip mat would be a good addition. We had trouble getting the tv to work for normal channels! I fear I left my mobile phone charger in the living room, plugged in near the tv - it would be good to have it back if you find it.
