  • "Lovely little cottage in beautiful woodland surroundings."

Everything you need inside for a comfortable, relaxing stay. We would definitely return. Loved the walk in shower! However we felt it’s very comfortable for 2 adults, but would have been less so for 3 adults. The single bedroom is comfortable enough for an adult, but you would need a more comfortable chair in the sitting room as the sofa is only comfortable enough for 2. Also there was no Nespresso machine!! Not a problem, but it was listed so we bought pods with us!!! Otherwise a perfect holiday in a beautiful county.

So glad you liked the lovely owl cottage. As you can see from the other feedback we have had numerous commendations for the service we provide in this holiday home. We appreciate that there is not a third armchair, but what we do provide is perfectly comfortable.. there’s not really the room for another large chair. thank you so much for your custom. • "Owl Cottage is a wonderful place to spend a holiday."

It is relaxing, very comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater if you wish or there are some really good places to eat in Framlingham, and elsewhere. We especially enjoyed the Station Hotel, which is a very lively place and serves up delicious food. Our hosts, Katie and Peter, were very friendly and helpful in recommending places to visit and to eat. It is in its own woodland, a very tranquil setting,.

  • "Holiday cut short after 3 days."

Bed with springs showing through. Not a comfortable seat in bungalow. Arrogant attitude from owner. No assistance offered at all.

We are saddened to receive this review. The feedback on Owl Cottage is consistently positive and whilst we appreciate sofa and bed comfort is subjective additional cushions and mattress were offered to you in order to try and make you more comfortable. . Property Owner

  • "Owl cottage is an idyllic little hideaway, well located for exploring suffolk and its coastline, the wooded garden is an absolute treasure, much enjoyed by both ourselves and Louie our dog, the local village of Framlingham provided all our shopping needs, we can highly recommend the 'White Horse' in Easton, lovely food, good atmosphere and very dog friendly."

Owl cottage itself was clean, well equipped and comfortable, it also provided one of the best showers I've ever had!, we also appreciated the fabulous artwork that adorned the property and the amazing carved owl, it was like staying in an art gallery. Katie and Peter were accommodating and made us feel very welcome, highly recommended.

The cottage which was set in the loveliest of surroundings, was spacious, comfortable and a delight to stay in. We have stayed in many cottages over the years but this was by far the best. Katie the owner was a lovely lady, very friendly and helpful, checking each day to see if everything was ok. We would highly recommend Owl cottage and really hope to have another stay in the future.

  • "Owl cottage was just perfect."

The owners were so lovely, checking we were ok each day. Our only negative thought was that as you left car park we could not see the road, either way. It needed a large mirror put up opposite the exit. It was very scary and dangerous.

There is a mirror opposite the exit and we've had the surrounding vegetation cut away. Property Owner

  • "Furnishing style excellent through out."

However sofa looked as though it was a sofa bed and was extremely UNCOMFORTABLE. No comfortable arm chairs either. Dining chairs woven seats looked great but very uncomfortable. Recommend a full suit with deep sofa ants comfortable dining chairs. Everything else was excellent.

Really sorry you found a problem with the sofa. In two years of lettings, this has never been mentioned before. I brought the sofa with me from my London flat when I moved here as I always found it so comfortable and there are also cushions to use as well. Property Owner

The cottage is nicely situated for a tour of the Suffolk Coast while being quiet and relaxing. It has pretty much everything you need for your stay, there is a supermarket, deli and great butchers within 3 miles (a 10 minute drive) with parking by RingGo (in Framlingham). Everything is ready for you to explore a very beautiful and historic part of the United Kingdom. Will happily book again!

  • "Very polite and helpful owners."

A beautiful location away from the bustle of city life. Clean and well-equipped. Easy to find and good parking at the property. The cottage has an induction hob so if you are not familiar with these you might want to look up how they work. We were there during a hot spell and the cottage was still cool and airy thanks to plenty of windows and a stone floor. One of the nicest properties we have stayed in for a summer vacation.

The bed was enormous and so comfy and it was so cosy and warm throughout. Excellent bathroom and hot water always. Lovely big towels. Everything you needed. The owners were close by and happy to help with everything. Great holiday. Thank you.

About the location

FRAMLINGHAM

Saxmundham 7.5 miles; Aldeburgh 14 miles; Southwold 20 miles

The beautiful market town of Framlingham is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) and has been known since Anglo Saxon times, when it consisted of several manors which William the Conqueror (1066-1087) presented to Roger Bigod. The town is of particular interest as it has a large castle and mere which was built between 1190 and 1210. The town is surrounded by lovely villages to explore and has two of the oldest working post boxes and one of Britain’s smallest houses, with the footprint measuring 6.1x2.2m! Today, the town offers a number of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and it is also home to Framlingham Summer Arts Festival.
