  • "Lovely cottage, well equipped and stunning decor."

Welcome pack very good and appreciated. Unfortunately the tog rating on the duvet was too high for time of year.13.5 tog which made it too hot for a comfortable nights sleep. A non slip mat in the bath would have been welcomed as it was very slippy.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday in No."

24, it far exceeded our expectations. Paula was very prompt in sorting out a little problem we had, apart from that we can't fault the property or location in any way.

  • "Lovely cottage with all that we required."

Comfortable bed and top quality bathroom and kitchen equipment. The tasty treats provided and supplies of various 'consumable' items like soap and toilet rolls was much appreciated. We only had one minor criticism in that the sofa was not particularly comfortable for my wife who has a chronic back problem.

Bed was comfortable, lovely copper bath - very luxurious! We did have an issue with the WiFi, but the owners sorted this out very quickly.

About the location

SKIPTON

Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
