The spacious patio area was very relaxing having privacy by tasteful fencing and well tended shrubs and planters. There were plenty of nearby places to eat out and vegan and gluten free options were catered for. There was so much to see and do in the area and the scenery while travelling was stunning.

Lots to do in the area only problem was finding it ! Could do with better instructions in Cross Hills. We had read in a review it was near the co op and opposite a butchers. So we parked in the co op and went to find it on foot first as traffic was very busy. Once we knew where it was everything was perfect.

We found the cottage so comfortable that from the first day we all were relaxed. Great place to reach all attractions/sites to visit. Excellent lay out of the property, we only ever used the back doors, allowed us easier access with the dog. This was so we could clean the dogs feet and, remove our outdoor shoes before going into the cottage, only right. All appliances had easy clear instructions, full utensils and crockery supplied. We found the owner wonderful, happy to answer any questions. Visitors must try the local butcher over the road and Gallaghers micro pub, both excellent. We will definitely look to go back, could highly rate this enough.

It was clean and we found the kitchen good with adequate utensils. Couldn't work out how to load a tablet into the dishwasher so we never used it. Found the living room a bit dark, probably due to the darker furniture and blinds. Found the quilt a bit heavy.

Ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Good walks nearby. Excellent instructions from the owner on how to find it as it is tucked away off the main road. Very quiet although central. Could have used more crockery to make full use of the dishwasher but this is a minor point. Only negative was that the shower tray wasn't emptying properly as the plughole was blocked and clearly in need of cleaning. I had to fish a load of hair and gunk out by hand. I did let the owner know so hopefully this will be remedied for future guests.

A real home from home. The beds are extremely comfortable so got a great night's sleep. Great to have off road parking and the garden area was a fantastic bonus, although the weather prevented us from making full use, throwing open the patio doors made the kitchen really bright and airy. Log Fire was lovely and warm, as was the shower. One suggestion, nesting coffee tables wouldn't go a miss to prevent 'minor domestics' on where to put your wine glass whilst relaxing in the Lounge. One of the best cottages I've stayed in, would definitely book there again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit The Dales.

Clean, modern and comfortable amenities and a lovely sunny private garden. We didn’t realise it was so near the main street however it wasn’t too much of a problem for road noise etc. Good location for access to visitor attractions in the area. The only reason we didn’t give it five stars was because we found the bed and pillows to be too firm, provision of some softer pillows as an alternative would’ve been great.

There was a welcome tray which was appreciated as we were able to have a cup of tea as soon as we got there. The cottage was well decorated and all fitments and equipment was of a good quality. The kitchen has been provided with useful utensils and good quality tableware and dishes. The bedding was of good quality and there was plenty of storage space. The whole cottage was accessorised with style and thought. The courtyard outside was great for our dogs as it was totally secure. Although the cottage is in a village. The area is very urban with a busy main road very nearby so it was very noisy outside. Inside with doors and windows closed it was fine. We used the place as a base for exploring the Dales and for us it’s location and local facilities were ideal.
