Beaumaris Pier
Extending 170m out onto the Menai Strait, Beaumaris Pier is one of Anglesey’s must-see attractions. The pier was first constructed in 1846 as a way to welcome pleasure steamers and drop off and collect passengers visiting Beaumaris.
Since then, the pier has been restored and now includes a floating boat landing platform that allows pleasure trips to run from the pier. The pier is also thought to be one of the best crabbing spots in Anglesey and so visitors are encouraged to bring their nets and buckets!
If catching critters isn’t your thing, why not simply drink in the views of Snowdonia – the pier offers a magnificent vantage point – or visit the RNLI lifeboat station? If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a practice launch!
An idyllic day out awaits at Beaumaris Pier…
