Brandelhow Bay
The walk starts from Grid Ref NY 248 201, where there is a gate leading into Brandelhow Park. There is parking along the roadside by the gate and at various points along the road.
On the other side of the gate, follow the path that leads you through the woodland, during May this area will be covered in bluebells.
You will soon reach a crossroads in the path, continue straight where you will encounter some rough ground. Eventually the lake will come into view at Withesike Bay, here you will join the Cumbrian Way by turning right.
You will then arrive at the jetty for Keswick Launch, and you’ll find some picnic benches nearby, making it an ideal rest stop. After a break, continue on the Cumbrian Way with the lake on your left side.
Follow the path as it turns sharply left onto a pebble shore and go through the gate. Cross a small, wooden bridge. You will pass a house with a gate on the left, go through the gate and follow the track. Soon, you’ll come to another gate, go through it. Continue straight.
Keep walking until you reach the gate at the end. Go through the gate and join the road, turning right. The walk continues uphill until you reach the starting point.
