Due to its location within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cocklawburn Beach is the perfect place to enjoy windswept walks.
Berwick-upon-Tweed Beach
Located between Berwick and the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve, this huge sand and rock beach is surrounded by grassy dunes and beautiful wildflowers found along walkways behind the dunes in early summer.
You can take long, windswept walks along this beach to view the wide, open sky and the breathtaking views of the sea. On clear days, Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle can be seen to the south of the shore. Birdwatchers, surfers, and bodyboarders are among those who frequent this beach. At low tide, it reveals sand spits and rock pools that are enjoyed by walkers and families.
Also close to the site is the Northumberland Coast Path and the National Cycle Route, ideal for outdoor adventures.
