Craigievar Castle
The stunning pink tower of Craigievar Castle is tucked away on a picturesque slope and is likely to enchant both kids and adults.
This iconic tower house, built in the Scottish Baronial style in 1576, is among the best preserved and most beloved in Scotland. William Forbes finished it around 1626, and his work on the façade has largely not changed. Up until the 1960s, Craigievar was a family home, resulting in an uncommon mix of inviting interiors and priceless artefacts within the old walls.
Artificial light has not been installed on the upper floors in accordance with the desires of the previous owner. The extensive collection of historical artefacts and antiques in the castle may therefore be viewed in the sun’s changing light, just as they would have been when they were created.
