Cramond Beach
This stunning and popular beach rests approximately five miles away from Edinburgh’s centre. Cramond Beach enjoys wonderful views of Firth of Forth and is a superb spot for a day out with the family!
It has great access, too, with its car park offering free parking for up to two hours. Additionally, dogs are welcome to the beach, so you can take your furry friend on a sandy stroll.
The one-mile causeway to the craggy Cramond Island will appear during low tide. Why not cross it and enjoy a scenic hike around the island?
If you’d prefer not to walk, spend some time relaxing on Cramond Beach’s sandy shores. Afterward, head into the historic fishing village to find The Cramond Inn, with its range of local ale on offer.
The beach also hosts a coffee shop, Cramond Bistro. Tuck into one of the many delicious cakes on offer here before checking out the nearby sands of Silverknowes Beach.
