East Pool Mine

East Pool Mine features an impressive Cornish beam engine and an industrial heritage discovery centre that allows visitors an insight into the fascinating mining culture of Cornwall.

Visitors can discover Taylor’s engine house, originally powered by high-pressure steam boilers introduced by Cornishman and local hero, Richard Trevithick. Today the towering engine house serves as a reminder of Cornwall’s days as a world-famous centre of industry, engineering, and innovation.
