Godshill Model Village

Godshill Model Village rests in Godshill Old Vicarage’s grounds. The attraction came to be in the late 1960s, when it was bought by Robin Thwaites. Robin, with his passion and attention to detail, brought the model to village to life.

Over the years, more of his family got involved in the running and maintenance of Godshill Model Village, and have turned it into what you see today.

The family-run attraction is open daily between the months of March-October and welcomes visitors in for a fee.

Godshill Model Village features miniature replicas of all of Godshill’s buildings, from its houses to its pubs. You’ll really feel like Gulliver here!

A lovely little detail is that the buildings are made with cement and sand, so they weather with age, just like Godshill’s real buildings. Another marvellous detail is the sheer amount of ornamental shrubbery used; the attraction contains over 3,000 shrubs and conifers!

After viewing the attraction, be sure to stop for a cup of tea and a homemade cake.

A unique outing to remember awaits at Godshill Model Village…
