Gribbin Head
Go to Gribbin Head and discover the setting for Daphne du Maurier’s famed literary works. Walkers will love this area of the headland to the west of Fowey. Two small broadleaf woodlands lie here with elm, ash, and sycamore the most common species to be found.
Grassy banks covered in wildflowers overlook the coast where walkers can stop for a picnic and a photograph or two. Visitors can also view the 84ft high Gribbin Tower, a beacon tower erected in 1832 to make navigation to Fowey and the harbours of St Austell Bay safer.
