Hareshaw Linn Waterfall
A picturesque stroll through the old-growth woods of Hareshaw Linn leads to a waterfall that is nearly nine metres tall. The famous ‘Hareshaw Linn Waterfall Walk‘ is one of the best and prettiest Northumberland walks there is.
The National Park Service has classified this site as an SSSI for the ferns and lichens found here.
Oak, hazel, elm, and ash trees thrive in this area and provide excellent habitat for animals, including red squirrels, redstarts, dippers, badgers, and Daubenton’s bats. There are also hundreds of species of moss, liverworts and lichens that grow near the waterfall.
