Harewood House

Harewood House came to be between 1759 and 1991. It’s a Grade I listed building and boasts 100 acres of beautiful grounds.

The estate is open to the public seven days per week and hosts plenty to do!

On a visit to Harewood House, you can look forward to touring the house itself. A wealth of intricate furnishings adorn the property, along with examples of 18th-century clothing.

Many stunning pieces of art can be found within the house, too. You’ll be dazzled by the variety of artwork available, from paintings to sculptures. The house is well-known for its Italian Renaissance paintings and family portraits of its occupants.

Harewood House isn’t only home to art, though. it makes for a great family outing. The Rare Bird Garden is a must for any wildlife lovers, while the Farm Experience is the perfect chance to get up close to adorable farm animals!

If you’re after a relaxing day out, why not simply go for a stroll around the grounds? Many stunning sights await on a walk through the grounds, from panoramas of Wharfe Valley to the vibrant flora peppered throughout the gardens.

If the kids need to let off steam, take a detour to the Adventure Playground. Slides, swings, climbing frames and a cafe rest here!
