Jubilee Pool
Jubilee Pool is the UK’s biggest geothermal pool and sea water lido, and you can find it in Penzance!
The pool came to be in the early 1930s when it was designed by Captain F Latham. The pool opened in May 1935 as a celebration for King George V’s Silver Jubilee.
The art deco architecture accompanied by the beautiful sea vistas makes this a fabulous place for a swim. Visitors come from all over to dip their toes in Jubilee Pool’s refreshing waters!
If you’re after a cool swim, you can plunge into the main pool. This large pool accommodates up to 600 swimmers and utilises over 5 million litres of seawater.
Bringing the kids? Jubilee Pool also offers a learner pool. This pool is smaller and shallower, and is ideal for the little ones to paddle in.
The geothermal pool is perfect if you really want to relax. The pool has capacity for 50 people and is heated to 30-35 degrees from Jubilee Pool’s very own geothermal well.
After swimming the day away, why not settle down for a bite to eat at the Jubilee Pool cafe? Here, you can enjoy a hearty dish from the breakfast or lunch menu, and soak up views of Mount’s Bay.
Alternatively, you can book a relaxing treatment with the in-house therapist. Indian head massages, reflexology and aromatherapy are just a few treatments you can choose from.
