Kendal Museum
This family-friendly museum resides in the charming town of Kendal, on the edges of the Lake District National Park. Kendal Museum offers something for all history buffs coming to the national park. A mixture of fascinating archaeology and natural history is on offer here!
There are three main collections available at Kendal Museum, the first being the Lake District Natural History Gallery. This exhibition is home to several gorgeous dioramas which feature preserved flora and animals.
Another wonderful collection is The Kendal and Westmorland Gallery. Here, you will find a wealth of information about the local area’s past. From the Bronze Age to the 20th century, there’s plenty to see here!
Last but not least is the World Wildlife Gallery. This gallery entails ample displays of global zoology and ecology for you to immerse yourself. From the Arctic to Australia, there’s so much to uncover at this exhibition!
