Morrab Gardens

Morrab Gardens was originally designed by Reginald Upcher in the late 19th century and included a sub-tropical garden, bandstand and curvilinear walks, much of which can still be seen today. A Boer War memorial statue can also be found in the gardens.

The main attractions both today and in the 19th century are the palm grove and exotic plants that transport visitors to more exotic climes. The microclimate allows plants rarely seen in the UK to thrive, with the help of the local authority and friends of the gardens.
