Nunnington Hall

Nunnington Hall is a picturesque, country house tucked away in the North Yorkshire countryside. The National Trust owns the manor and it’s open six days per week. It’s fairly accessible, with an adjoining car park and lack of booking policy.

Nunnington Hall is a historic wonder, with its land dating to the medieval period! Over time, the property became worn down, until the Fife family inherited it in 1920.

The hall has seen major renovation throughout, with an array of gorgeous interiors on display. The Smoking Room is a highlight; a space adorned with intricate furnishings and Georgian greens.

You can see The Smoking Room amongst other historic architecture on a tour of the hall. Afterwards, why not visit one of the temporary exhibitions on display?

Nunnington Hall’s garden is a must-see, especially if you’re coming in the Spring! During this time of year, you’ll get to see the wildflower fields and cherry blossom trees bloom.

Your canine companion can enjoy these with you, as the National Trust allow dogs on leads outdoors.

You can finish off your stroll of the gardens by stopping at the on-site tearoom. Here, you can tuck into light bites and pastries from a seasonal menu. A tea garden rests next door, so your furry friend can join you.

A serene day out awaits at this historic delight…
