Penmon Point Beach
Wildlife lovers will adore Penmon Point Beach due to the abundance of species found here. From dolphins and porpoise swimming just off the coast to seals at nearby Puffin Island, there’s plenty to see.
Penmon Point Beach is also a popular spot for anglers to target mackerel. With views out to Puffin Island and Great Orme, there are few better sights to enjoy while fishing.
Crab, shrimp and sea anemone are also known to lurk within the rock pools at low tide, so be sure to pack a fishing net and bucket!
The clear evening skies make this beach a great place for stargazing and the northern lights have been known to be visible from here. During certain times of the year bio luminescent algae can also be seen in the water, giving a blue glow when disturbed – a truly magical sight!
Penmon is also home to one of five working lighthouses in Anglesey, the Trwyn Du Lighthouse, which can be seen just off the coast.
A picturesque day out awaits at this beach…
