Polruan Back Beach is nestled in the heart of Polruan village and sits on the other side of the quayside from Quay Beach. The beach gently shelves into a sheltered section of the River Fowey making it quite safe for swimming although there is no lifeguard cover and boats are active here, so caution is advised.

The best way to access Polruan Back Beach is by parking at St Saviours and making the steep walk downhill or via a ferry from Fowey. Once at Polruan there are plenty of shops, pubs and toilets.
