Pont y Pair Bridge
Nestled in the picture-perfect village of Betws-y-Coed, Pont Y Pair Bride is one of the area’s most popular attractions.
Built around 1500, long before the Conwy suspension bridge, Point Y Pair was built for packhorses to cross the river. The bridge was widened in the 1800s to allow for stagecoaches, allowing for safer passage to Conwy than the traditional ferry route.
This change saw an influx of travellers in Betws-y-Coed and put the idyllic village on the map. Today, you can cross the bridge and explore the village during a trip to Snowdonia National Park. As beautiful as it is useful, you’ll want to ensure you get plenty of snaps of this picture postcard setting.
Come and see this picturesque landmark for yourself during your Betws-y-Coed getaway…
