Red Wharf Bay
Red Wharf Bay is a designated nature reserve and it attracts a variety of birdlife, including purple sandpipers, curlew, shelduck and dunlin. The salt marshes and sand dunes that surround the beach provide habitat for interesting plant species such as the pyramidal orchid.
After an afternoon of dog walking – there are no dog restrictions at Red Wharf Bay – or simply relaxing on the sand, why not head to one of the nearby pubs or restaurants? The Boathouse pub offers excellent views of the bay as does the Bay Café – a wonderful way to round off the day at this beautiful beach!
Come here for a memorable beach day with those who mean most…
